Sad but true. Insurance companies don't view us as human beings, period. We are commodities pure and simple. Pre-existing conditions means there's a higher percentage that you'll use your insurance, instead of just paying into to it. The odds are in favor of you costing the insurance companies money instead of making them money. So the numbers game says you are a high risk. Not really good business practice to insure people who'll take away your profit.

People focus on the human factor, like that baby that was denied insurance because he was too fat......Aw, how could they be so cruel to that cute baby? The insurance company looks at it as a number, risk versus reward, period. They could give less than a fuck about the human equation.
