So how in hell do I post a photo and not have it come out a thumbnail? I've looked everywhere inside "manage attachments" and I can't find a way to fix it.

You will all be happy to know that I"m taking a course in Web design in a few weeks, so I may be able to stop asking incredibly stupid questions soon.

It is used by most.
A pro account is affordable.
With the pro account it keeps the original and resizes automatically for you. The resizing comes in handy, from avatar use to, just a funny no need for a huge shot. It has a great network base and mods closely. Plus your photos can be added to Getty Images, if you want and are selected.
Plus they offer the free account that give you 200 photos slots, you can up grade any time and your old photos will be there. With the free account you will not have access to the original size (unless it happens to fit the standard sizes) but when you finally do up grade(and you will) the original size is available for you then.

(and no, I would not offer anything to Getty Images, I'm an AP girl from way back) This is simply when you want to post something from the internet - something you googled - somebody else's photo in a fair use context.

All of these sites (Tinypic (http://tinypic.com/), Imageshack (http://imageshack.us/)) work the same way: You right click and save an image you wish to post and it is saved to your computer. The image host asks you to choose an image from the ones you have saved, then turns it into a postable code for you to cut n paste into a thread. The important thing to remember is to be aware of the size of the image you wish to use. Anything above 400x450 is too big for a thread, and screws things up for people attempting to view it with limited bandwith or dial up.

Try Tinypic. It is the easiest to use. Through some trial and error, you'll get the hang of things in no time.

I am almost scared to post it. It will change your persception... though, I find it strangely fascinating. A gentleman with a Jacob's ladder must have heard of my collection (no doubt from where). Nonetheless, it was a huge "umm no thank you" . I could list a 100 reasons why.

Most common body modification is circumcision (male and female), breast implants, and other common plastic surgery.

However, like the Jacob's ladder, some are more creative.

Once I had just met this guy and he decided that a tongue piercing would be a good way to impress me and started to brag. Well, I biker dude was next to us. This biker dude happen to have a piercing studio. We all went over and the guy went to get his tongue pierced. They hit a vein, it was a bloody mess. The blood shot across the room.

He ended up being a good friend. I accidentally burned down his house and he had to escape literally naked from the burning building to my door. I lived a few houses down. He thanked me later. I felt so bad. But it was a really good thing for him.
His best friend was one of the coolest most complex saddest guys I ever met.

This is simply when you want to post something from the internet

You need to find the source of the picture file you want to post here.

Mouse over pic, right click, select Properties, mouse-highlight URL from http:// to the end .jpg or whatever, then right click again over the highlight text, select Copy (or macro a copy by pressing ctrl-C).

Now you copied the file location.

To post it, hit Reply Post or Quote Post, select Preview Post, type bracket-img-bracket then paste the file name with either right click Paste, or macro a paste with ctrl-V.. then do the bracket-img-bracket thing again but with a slash / in front of img such as [/img].

Or you can select Insert Image from the advanced reply panel with the mountainside icon button, just paste the location in there.
