Let's start some hype about the music for a change...

You know this is one of my favourite moments from the tour. Was anyone at the show.

Seriously, I don't care if Mona was on stage...this clip is killer

I'd have to say that little improv jam between Ed & Dave was the highlight of most shows...

If you thought that was good, then by all means check this out. For an audience filmed clip, the image and sound are outstanding, as is the performance, which is nothing short of extraordinary. From June 2, 2008 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Even in 1996. I really liked the deep, guttural voice from Me Wise Magic. But it does seem forever since this tour ended. Hard to believe it hasn't even been 2 whole years. I'm ready for another.

"Here comes the Chorus!"

Jesus H. Christ. Two great clips.

Timeless music... and attitude.

If that is all we get, we're still way ahead of the game.

Flamma and Dloc putting aside their differences for a moment?

Is world peace far behind?

The power of Van Halen is an awe-inspiring thing.

Dave carried this entire mess on his back. He was the only one who brought energy to the graveyard on stage. I showed a DVD boot of one of 2008 shows to a casual VH fan and they remarked how "boring" it was because of lames backing Roth.

Just imagine how much cash the Sisters could've charged per ticket if Wolfie was actually playing the bass and they were actually singing the backing vocals?!

The music was a lot better live when it was Roth, Luzier, Young, and the Bass player of the moment. Oh and only 35 bucks a pop!

That was bad ass. I'd love to hear them come up with some original/cover tune blues stuff. They've dabbled over the years, but man they rev this shit up

No, they don't. What the hell are you excited about - Ed and Dave improvising blues? Are they supposed to be a blues duo now?

Great stuff... the last leg of the 08 tour VH started firing on all cylinders.. I have a few of the later shows on DVD and WOW they were on it... the Grand Rapids show is awesome!

I'd only amend this inasmuch as AVH turned in good performances night after night on the tour.

Dave's last solo backup band he used for live work WAS a bit better than Van Halen 2007-2008.

Bit sad, but I agree with you.

Yup, the UVA show in May '08 was tight as hell...

Of course, seeing it from the 6th row doesn't hurt either... ;)
