    Thank-you Supreme Court!

Wonder how many hours of quality TV, Radio, and News media will be inundated with senseless and nonfactual attack ads

Now that corporations can spend unlimited sums and the Repukes are itching for some seats.....in a perverted way, it'll be fun to watch.

Too bad there's so much at stake in this country....we could sit back, down a pint and have quality entertainment for days.

This is good news... I hope they all go broke and the biggest spenders don't get elected. Logic would indicate the fastest way to dry up funding is to have no ROI...

I did an advertising internship with Ogilvy and Mather and advertising is subject to diminishing returns. You can oversaturate and so what you get for your advertising dollar is not linear. There's a saturation curve. Plus, many of the voters are onto the corporate corruption behind the politicians so they may be running ads to an audience who will not be influenced. Once the consumer has an entrenched opinion, it's very difficult to change that. So unlimited advertising expenditure has it's drawbacks and actually could backfire.
