Look, here's the deal on the alleged "censorship" at this or any site: It has absolutely nothing to do with suppressing your ability to express your intents, ideas or beliefs. What it has to do with is the following...

Not everyone here posts from the Bat Cave or their mom's living room. The truth is, many of us view this site during the course of the day from work. Yep, every so often, we take a break from dealing with nitwits at the job to find with some distractions in cyber space.

So there you are, mindlessly clicking on a thread at the ARMY about politics, and what pops up on your screen? Yup, the image of a baby, covered in blood. And what makes this event even more precious, the same boss that has been on your ass for the past two weeks because things have been slow now decides at that very minute to approach you about some petty nonsense.

Swell, eh?

So get it through your thick skull: This ain't about you, your political affiliation, your ideas or your conclusions, nor is it some attempt to stifle your ability to express any of them. It owes to common sense and the respect of others that view the site.

And if you are incapable of entering into some areas of creative political discourse without the need of offensive visual aids, then perhaps political forums are not the best place for your opinions in the first place.

Personally, I don't see how it's possible how anyone can color outside the lines. I guess you have to be on other boards in order to realize just how much breathing room you have here...I couldn't get away with half the shit I do anywhere else.

I've been able to share lurid tales of my random sexual encounters with loose women in public places, in graphic detail. And I'm able to do that in the proper forum.
If I feel the urge to start a photo gallery of my notorious, insatiable fascination of 2 chicks making out with each other, I'm able to do that in the proper forum.
If I feel like expressing my belief that most politicians are lowlife cocksucking scumbag motherfuckers, I'm able to do that in the proper forum.
If I feel like saying "Sammy Hagar licks the duck-butter from the crack of his fat mothers ass!", I'm able to do that too. (pretty much any forum, I think.)
And last, and certainly not least, I can fucking say "FUCK" whenever I fucking feel like it.

Trust me when I tell you that you can't get away with any of this on other boards. I've already tried.

It's all 'time & place'. There's an incredible ammount of liberties here and very few restrictions. Fucking up and crossing the line would have to be a conscious decision on your part.....you would really have to be trying.

I got no problems....I can roll with the quo!

As much as I post here I know that this is not my site nor do I really have a say in how it's moderated. What I do have a choice in and what everyone else does too, is that if I disagree with how this or any other place is ran.....I can leave and so can anyone else.

The rules here are very simple and not that hard to follow. We are given a ton of latitude here and, as Ham mentioned, there are sites out there that don't even come close to the freedom we enjoy here.

Strangely, there are people here that just don't seem to get it.

Hey, we all say things in the heat of a debate that we may want to take back or even regret posting later but the fact remains that it's not hard to follow the rules here.

Who on God's green earth thinks that posting an aborted fetus is anywhere near acceptable.

How stupid do you have to be to post private or personal information on a web site and then get offended when people call you out on it or edit your post.

Luckily, it's just a select few morons who, in the face of losing a debate, try one last ditch effort to win the argument by offending or outrageous comments. Really, it just shows how little social skills you have to post some of the offensive or private information people have tried here.

Sure is and if that's all you have left to resort to in a debate, it's better to just move on and post nothing.

The fetus thing didn't offend me personally but I can sure as hell see how it could offend people here.....I think the other thing that people don't think about is we have hundreds of people looking at our posts who are not registered members. If by some stupid act of one of the select few idiots here ruins it or causes any grief for the people, who mod this site without pay I might add, then I for one am all for the actions the mods have taken, period.

The very same people who lack the education and vocabulary skills at their disposal to get their point across with words.

For example, if I wanted to drive a point home in the heat of an argument, and it involved an aborted fetus, I would be able to describe it with words to the point where you could see it yourself....every single time you closed your eyes. The ones who feel they have to post pics to make their point are the same illiterate shitbags who aren't worth debating in the first place!

Let's swing this political so as it's in the right place.....during one of the Teabagger rallys earler this year, someone saw fit to bring a graphic picture of the holocaust to one of their rallys.....not only did I find this extremely offensive (and if you're asking...yes I very much am, ok?), I wanted to pick up my monitor and give it a 90mph trip to the wall!!
If you're trying to make me see your point, there are other ways of doing so...showing graphic pictures isn't one of them. That only infuriates me to the point where I want to slash your tires, burn your house down, and fuck your mother in her ass. and that gets us nowhere.....

The best advice I have to give is.....if you're going to debate someone....do your goddamn homework first. You're on the World-Wide-Web motherfucker!!....it's not too much to ask.
