I dont understand why Dave gets such shit from people about doin an album of cover tunes, Bette Midler and Rod Stewert just released albums of all cover tunes and everyone seems to be praising them, I love the diamond Dave CD and i know you all do too, I like the Bette Midler and Rod Stewert cds also, just cant figure out why Dave catches so much shit for it, thats just my two cents for what its worth. :bottle:

i can assure you that it's not the choice of songs they don't like, it's the way they are played.

Diver Down was over half covers and was a great album.

Personally, I think it's more disappointment than anything. I believe most of us wanted a kick ass rock album from Dave, instead of a whole album full of cover songs. I love some of the songs on the disc, but come on, even the one original was a cover. He had this band cover a song that was a leftover from the DLR Band album. I know for a fact they had plenty of other originals to choose from. Dave just got in a mode, and went with it. MISTAKE.
