The Sixties sure produced its fair share of shit. Hey, I like CROSBY, STILLS, NASH & YOUNG...but I don't understand how THE HOLLIES were inducted in the Hall of Fame when most people couldn't even name one of their songs while KISS, DEEP PURPLE, THIN LIZZY, etc. won't get in during any of our lifetimes.

But it also had some amazing music.

Does anyone else know this classic?

Arthur Lee (lead singer and pal of Jim Morrison's) apparently wrote his songs on this record after having a premonition of his own death. Lots of moody stuff here. But the music is terrific. If I may say so, THE RED TELEPHONE is one of the greatest songs ever written. Holy atmosphere...great use of strings arranged by David Angel.

And while I could give a shit half the time about magazine opinions, Rolling Stone magazine ranked Forever Changes 40th in its list of the 500 greatest albums of all time and MOJO (much better magazine than ROLLING STONE) made FOREVER CHANGES #11 in its list of the 100 Greatest Albums Ever Made.

I have it on vinyl and like to listen to it every once in a while.

I found my way to it through UFO's cover or 'Alone Again Or' from the 'Lights Out' album.
