    Frankenstrat invades Avon, Ohio!!

    OK...I debated about putting this in "Gear Street", but figured that was only for gear that was actually usable.....not for the purposes of "public art."

    So...check out this shit!! (From the VH News Desk)



    Ever wonder how much duct tape it would take to make a near-perfect replica of an Eddie Van Halen guitar?

    The answer is more than 300 rolls.

    The giant red, black, and white rock ’n’ roll homage was the first piece of duct tape art that greeted visitors at the seventh annual Avon Heritage Duct Tape Festival, held last weekend in Avon, Ohio.

    14 students at the University of the Arts where asked by Duck Tape to create duck Tape sculptures for festival. This year’s theme was Peace, Love and Duck Tape.



    Sources say Eddie Van Halen plans to sue....

      Sweet. It looked like an upscaled perfect replica at first but then a closer look revealed it was all duct tape.
      Reading Crazy From the Heat in four hours flat, in a cramped RV, on the return trip of a 3,000+ mile family outing to New Jersey is an enlightening experience you'll never forget.

          For some reason I picture in my mind this guitar being held by that touchdown Jesus statue that got hit by lightning recently.

                          That is fuckin HUGE. I doubt Ed will sue. Most likely scenario would be that Ed will simply confiscate it...

                          I wonder if that's a 1971 spaghetti pot lid screwed into the body?!
