    Into the labarynth

Ok so i hadnt even heard the latest album from Saxon until today, and well it practically melted my face clean off. I have always been a big saxon fan but this is something of a departure from there typical sound i feel. The opening track "batallions of steel" sets the tone for the whole album. It has a real gritty raunchy sound to the entire album, very metal indeed. There is also the inclusion of a few anthems in there such as the demon sweeney tood. I think the album kinda catches the essance of how saxon play live. i have seen them live a few times and they are LOUD.

I know it was released last year and all but im pretty behind as of late on music.

    Any opinions on this album?

Have not seen Saxon live since 1984. But they have put out consistently decent metal albums every since.

Apparently they were going to call it 'Into the Spell Checker'...
