CGI is always cool.. but the trailer doesn't really tell me alot.

Plus, compared to the original book, it seems to fabricate some - and illustrate very little.

    NOT impressed.

Looks like every other superhero film with a convoluted, messy plot accompanied by stiff acting...

No thanks. This looks turgid, and it's not really much of a surprise either, considering The Hulk was filmed twice within 5 years and still managed to stink both times. Needless to say, I have my doubts about the upcoming Captain America movie as well.

Ooooh, I dunno... if THESE films are so ridiculously "american" as to render them incredibly laughable, imagine Captain AMERICA!

            It'll be a RIOT! A RIOT!

It'll be SO bad, it's GOTTA be good.

            Cheers! :bottle:

The thing is, the original concept for Captain America had him fighting the Nazis during WWII. That would be cool if done in the correct way. What concerns me the most is how this material can be turned into some mindless flag waving exercise, reminiscent of Rocky IV.

Yes, well... one of the problems - and the biggest one in my opinion - with remakes - in ANY form (comics, series, games, etc. to films or remakes of films) - is that the guy remaking always figures HIS ideas are better than the original.

Since the originals are good enough to warrant a remake in any form, while the remaker's work is either so bad as to be virtually unknown or is non-existant, you can see how every remake BLOWS HARD!

Nazis? Pffft... too passée. Captain AMERICAAAAA will be saving the Twin Towers, heading off to a fantasy version of Afghanistan & deliver a sharp moral speech to the perpetrator, complete with the flag in the background.

Well, one can only hope it'll be this, as it's quite likely it'll be so much worse...

                  Cheers! :bottle:
