Just posted links in the members only boot forum.

10 Rapidshare links. Laserdisc rip. Pro-Shot 55 minute FULL set.

    TOTALLY kickass!

You can see where Uncle Dave got a lot of his inspiration.

The section is stickied at the very top in the bootleg forum.

Picked up some albums from a donor on Craigslist recently, and the GFRR double album I found in the stack was FUBAR and unplayable. My brothers children and I melted them in the oven and made hats and stuff with them and a few other albums. Wanted to keep the album cover but mold was destroying it.

            ~Aren't you glad I shared that~

Ya gotta love how high up in the mix they put the bass guitar on their albums.

              made the room shake

Which one? If it was "Live Album", the regret is understandable. On the other hand, if it was "Caught In The Act", you really didn't miss much. If you can find a copy, the "Live: The 1971 Tour" album that came out (I think) in 2001 is pretty damned good, but it still doesn't sound as full as the "Live Album" tracks recorded on the 1970 tour.

I disagree with you about "Caught in the Act" I think it kicks as much ass as the others. Plus the fact of having Craig Frost in the lineup added to their sound immensely...

Yo Hardrock. I downloaded the first link to see if the quality was better than the version I have of this show, but my player (VLC) says the file is broken. Any ideas?

That's the thing, I always loved the sound of a three piece band. Frost's keys seem to gum things up a bit, and Farner's "splatter" guitar sound doesn't cut through it as well. The same thing happened when Stevie Ray Vaughan added Reese Wynans to Double Trouble, and when Govt Mule had to fill out their sound with a new bassist and a keyboard player to make up for the hole left in their attack by Allen Woody's death.

GFR should be in the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME, DAMN IT!
Mark Farner is a very under rated vocalist/guitarist.
