I have one track 'La grange' from this show and would like to find a link to the rest if possible. Looking for high quality MP3 files, not FLAC. Many thanks if you have it!

Yeah, this is definitely one of the best Club Days shows available. This boot, and Nightmare Before Halloween are the best we'll ever see.

This is the clearest sounding club days boot I've heard! I thought Goldenwest was clear, but this one has it beat. Thanks for posting that.

No problem! I have loads more bootlegs, though not as many club shows that sound as good as this one. Feel free to let me know if you want anything uploaded

Im still trying to hunt a good copy of the last Whisky show (I think it was new years eve) and the Hilton show? Gets confusing with all the different names and also many bootleg CD's used to hash together different shows! Its a shame they're not longer...by 1977 were VH really doing these short sets? Many thanks indeed.

I have the Whiskey show. It's on a bootleg called Bullethead. I don't have quite the connection to upload the show, but if you'll pm me with an address, I'll send you a physical copy of it.

p.s. The sound quality on this boot is not the best.

There are other bootlegs that have a portion of the New Years Eve '77 Whiskey gig, but this one is the entire show.

I have one called 'Atomic Punks' on vinyl. There's a gonzo review / appreciation of it here by a guy called Julian Cope, who you probably need to be British to know - he was singer of a band called The Teardrop Explodes, but is a bit of a VH nut (although he gets some facts wrong, it is a good read). He writes books and stuff. He had this as his 'album of the month' a few years ago:

But, 'Bullithead' ain't on this version - but it might be 'cos it was cut short to fit on one 12" vinyl LP. I had another vinyl version of the same, on another label, titled 'Die Laughing'. I have 'Bullithead' and another tune called 'Down In Flames' from the last Whisky show (or one of the last - New Years Eve '77). That's one where Ed really fuckin rips it up in a way that I doubt he would do now, but those are tagged onto another show from the 1984 tour.

I love that song Down In Flames, but I've never heard a clean, clear, good quality recording of it, and I don't know if one even exists. They played it in their latter club days and on their first tour, but I've heard nothing but shit recordings of it. Act Like It Hurts is another one that I wish a good quality sounding recording existed of.

No problem. If you want anything that's not already up here, PM me, I have about 200 combined audio and video bootlegs for Van Halen alone
