Tone Loc did a song called "Wild Thing" back in the 80's and it features bits and pieces of Jamie's Cryin'. This took me years to notice...

There is a bit of KISS's "Doctor Love" in that tune as well, and if I'm not mistaken, part of a Foreigner tune. Depending on who you believe, VH made a deal with Tone either before or after the song was released for royalties.

I read an interview where Ed is talking about this song. He said he recognized Al's drums in the intro, and that at one point threatened to sue.
I don't know what happened with that, but it was the same time 2 Live Crew got zapped for their "Funk Shop" tune.

Alot of rap isn't shit without sampling (stealing) bits and pieces of someone elses music.
