The Golf Channel has a competition show for amateurs called The Big Break. Each week, the contestants are faced with a variety of stunt challenges meant to test their skills. One of these is a 12 x 12 framed glass rectangle mounted on a post, which is set to a certain distance. The golfers must shatter the glass to win, and a camera is placed immediately behind the frame to capture the action. You'd be suprised by how difficult it is not only hit the damned thing, but shatter the glass as well.

The coverage was really spotty here in the States. After that opening round rain disaster, ESPN never really recovered. With play halted so quickly, the network had no choice but to replay the two hours of footage they had over and over to fill a ten hour time slot. And because it took place against a college football weekend (heavily broadcast here at this time of year), the only real alternative was to stay up/get up at 3 AM to catch things live.
Hint to the PGA: End your season before football starts!
