Not a real big fan of the stuff that passes for "Soul" or "R&B" these days, but this one is actually worthy. I think David Ruffin & Marvin Gaye would have approved..... even if they would have never used such a title themselves....

Dude has a great voice. Shame that people like Gaga & Beiber get all the money, fame, publicity, awards, etc...when there are people with true talent out there.

Catchy tune.:fufu:

Yep, this is the same guy who sang on the Gnarles Barkley tune "Crazy". None of that auto-tune bullshit needed, as the cat is the real deal, an outstanding singer, and a definite throwback to the days of people with genuine talent making soul music.

Different Genre but since I was the son of preacher man this chick got me back into soul after I was burned on it. Alison Moyet one of the best soul singers imho.

I've been into the Fuck You song by Cee Lo Green for a few months now. I actually heard it mixed into a dance jam some DJ was playing in a club last week.

It's just a "cry-cry" song to me, not very manly and I do not identify with it.

The subject in the song substantiates his damages as unfair, because he's a broke-ass mofo, and he provides that a chick leaving a broke-ass mofo simply for the sake he's broke is wrong.

However I would provide this to cuntsider: in his documenting of the offenses in the tune by his chick, he sure disses here alot.

That's not very manly. None of these 99-cents-only store type chicks he's sobbing over are worth it. If you're gonna write a sob-story tune man - lose a chick you pulled from behind the counter at Tiffany's or that makes 150-200K a year, and write about it.

In other words: Do NOT go writing songs about loss when the loss is fractional. Write about losing a solid gal YOU dissed and lost for being a fuckup, cuz I don't wann hear about some chick you lost who left you because you were broke - one out of every one chick you find in the world will do THAT! It's called "common sense."

If a lady wants to go - there's the door I'll get another one. This guy needs a lady now, but he needs to be a gent first or he'll lose every one he pulls in first and foremost, and no - I dont' like novelty tunes like this for that reason.

It's cheap and demeaning, and implies the lady who bailed on his BROKE ASS had no emotions invested either. What a gentleman huh?

What's this guys problem I don't know, but don't care either when every OTHER person in the world is a female!

Sux to be a loser, sux even worse hearing one whine about sour grapes he doesn't deserve.

In his new sitcom, he & his son went to a karaoke bar. His son was picking songs for dad to sing & said "Rocket Man"?. Dad says "it's been done".

Kinda funny. Love Shatner. He is similar to Hasselhoff in that he makes a living by poking fun at himself. I still watch the original Star Treks on tv. After all these years they are still good...albeit cheesy good.
