Maher is very good usually right about most things apart from a weird hangup he has about food additives and medicines.

What bit made you annoyed? As far as the congress cutting their office spending he would have been better to point out that if they made that cut then in 60 years time they would have enough for 1 more Stealth Fighter.

I often don't agree with Maher, and some of that was kind of over the top, but it was still fucking awesome.

It was brave too with a hostile audience.

Remember this is the guy who was sacked and almost lost his whole career just for saying (obviously quite rightly) that the 9-11 attackers were scum but couldn't be called cowards. At the time everyone was calling them cowards which wasn't just wrong it was dumb because it ignored the conviction of these people which is demonstrated by us still being in Afghanistan.

I don't think of him as a comedian, more a witty commentator.

I'm not saying I think his show is brilliant but it passes some time as a podcast.
