Okay, so it's late, had a shit day at work, I'm tired, burnt out, pissed off and distressed.* So I go to the fridge and in there is chilled bottle of some cheap crap wine. I'm thinking, "great...perfect end to horrible day..." Problem is NO CORK OPENER! ARRRRRGGGGHHHH!

So does anyone have any idea(s) on how to remove the cork without an opener and still keep it in tact?

screw a self tapping screw in there, then remove with a claw hammer or pair of pliers. has worked for me. next time at supermarket, buy cheap corkscrew.
