Parkway Drive...
so there's this aussie band who come from my general area. they call it 'metalcore'. as guitar tuition is my main income, i've had to learn their music thoroughly to present it accurately to my students. at first i hated it, it's all in dropped B, which creates it's own issues regarding string gauge/setup etc. but the more i listen and learn, the music they make is starting to really gel with me. i'd recommend 'idols and anchors' and 'carrion' as a starting point. as i said, not my cup of tea exactly. i do think these blokes have a truly great album in them though, once all the shouty stuff is out. i'm only doing the wikilink. check them out, i'm keen to hear the worldwide roth army opinion.
