A kind of odd but cool thing happened to me recently.

A guy came up to me who knew me and started talking away and I had no clue who the fuck he was. This used to happen to me quite a lot back in the early 90s due to booze and a very small amount of localised fame but nowadays it threw me a bit.

I kind of bluffed my way through it but a couple of days later a CD came through the door and for that I'm grateful as it must have been him and it had demo's I had long since lost from when I was a 19 year old kid back in the (very) late 80s.

Of course now it's Friday night and I've had a few drinks and in nostalgia mood but I'm wondering if some of these songs may be worth resurrecting now I'm doing the just before mid life crisis band thing.

Anyhoo if nothing else it's all good fun, my favorite review of this at the time was 'Ratt with one t'. :)

We were just kids though and to be fair we were very pretty... :D

Here's a song, maybe a 3rd generation copy and I think we recorded and mixed 3 in about 20 hours.

Bit Between My Teeth

The first guitar solo I ever did in the studio.

Since this is the Gear Forum on this recording I was using a Les Paul Standard the guy in the studio gave me a loan of after being appalled at my $150 guitar, a borrowed 1973 Marshall 50W head, a borrowed 4 by 12 Marshall Celestion Cabinet and a distortion pedal bought mail order from Japan that you made yourself from a kit, I forget the name of it. :)

Working fine here, it could be a Real Player plug in thing that you need to update.

It is the GPRS that is my access. I am sure it works. However, for me t is an all-day or night affair. :)

mate, i think it's great. me and a few mates have been talking recently about how these days, since we've all been members of various forums for so long, the friendships become more solid and meaningful over the years. i remember in my early online days being paranoid about even registering somewhere; let alone posting any kind of reference to teh RL. but, you know, even thousands of kilometres and oceans apart, we still are all basically the same types of people. (mostly). :)

Nice work Sesh!! Even though it's stuff from way back it still had a nice edge and even sounded fresh... aged well. My favorite is Prime Time Gigolo!!

So I'm eating breakfast listening to this and my 13 yr old walks in and asks who's that playing dad... I say it's some music from the 80's made by my buddy Sesh from the Roth boards over in England. She goes... "Cool... was he a rock star like you 100 years ago?" I go... yep big time in the UK. I show her your picture... she laughs and says "Oh god dad... you and your friends are such geeks!! I'm glad you grew up!!" I mumble as she's walking away laughing... if you only knew...

Hey Scotland not England! :D

Thanks for that, I woke up this morning and thought fuck what did I do that for last night? Now I get my head from 20 years ago stuck on a cock photoshop next time I have an argument about politics. :)

Booze and the internet don't mix too well sometimes.

At least this time I didn't go mad on eBay, sometimes I spend the whole next week with the doorbell going with mail order stuff arriving...

Hey Scotland not England! :D

Sorry about that... I should know better given my ancestry goes back to the 11 century Walker clan in Edinburough Scotland...

Dude if you back to the 11th century we're all related. :)

In fact I think it's around the 16th century where your ancestors would outnumber the population of the world if it wasn't for a degree of inbreeding.

We are all a big family.

Is there anything left in that bottle...? :)

I thought Scottish poison was cheap scotch whiskey. I've never found such a thing though. Once when I was in Mexico the servi bar in the room was stocked with some Mexican scotch. I had a good laugh at that one. Maybe some Scotish immigrant was up in the highlands of Mexico burning peat and running a still.
