I used to post at Links back in the 1999-2000 era, and a little bit here at the Army. I joined Links right after Gary left the band. Lots of good and funny memories -- so many cool people, learning all kinds of cool historical stuff about the band from everyone, watching EUAS do their thing, cracking up over classic posts like "The Lost Sammy Tapes," and of course hitch1969. Some bad ones too -- all the fake rumors, the Pasture Dump, etc. I stopped posting for good around 2001, though kept reading the boards now and then to keep up with what was going on.
Of course, I've been reading the boards a lot the last week with the new tour and album coming up. I have to say I'm amazed and impressed to see so many of the posters from those early days still going strong -- bravo to you guys, and to Sarge for keeping this place hopping.
