What the Hell Happened to Winter..?

Almost to mid January and I can still see the lawn and haven't had to shovel or blow snow once... WTF?

I ain't complaining at all... avg high here is supposed to be 28 and forecast is sunny with a high of 50.

i ordinarily don't like winter, but this one hasn't been too bad.

looks like we may get hammered Thursday and Friday. i'm right on the lake, so the lake effect snow usually blows over me and dumps where i used to live.

we set a record last year for precipitation, so yeah the lack of snow helps a little.

Had maybe an inch of snow here last night.

          All I could think was

=Look at all the snowflakes here tonight=

Yeah last year we had over 80 inches of snow... not sure if we've topped 2 total yet. Thursday/Friday is the next chance.

Happy to be movin back down south in a couple of months and be rid of Iowa winters. Can't decide if I should sell the snow blower or turn it into some sort of Hillbilly yard art down in the Ozarks...

2.5 years ago... darn job took me to northeastern Iowa.

Dues paid... Wasn't able to sell my home in this pathetic housing market. Changed jobs and heading back to Arkansas.

Good deal. No self respecting person should have to live in Iowa.

So far in Gnashville....temps have dipped into the teens here and there....mostly ranging from 35-55 these days...occasionally getting over 60 as well. Mid-50s right now.....
Much better here than in Kansas.....in fucking Kansas it gets below zero in winter and well over 100 in summer. Makes the clothing manufacturers happy, lol.

Winter has finally arrived. However, it's only -20 C, not the usual -40 for this time of year. I'm happy....
