Oh, for fuck's sake, what a walk down memory lane! The DJ was Neil Mersky, an undeniable dweeb who at least had the courage to promote hard rocking bands with an almost guile-free spirit of enthusiasm. In other words, a readily identifiable guy for geeks like me. This was around the time that WSHE was recovering from it's disastrous 3-4 month adventure into embracing punk rock, and was clawing it's way back toward respectability.

And you bet your ass that I attended the show.

Hats off, along with a sincere and solid round of thanks to BITEYOASS for finding this. Made my day, motherfucker!

And the license plates. One featured a white background, the other a black. Might have been a gray one, as well.

That's nothin. VH played the same venue with Montrose and those losers Journey a couple years before for around 5 bucks. The following night, Blue Oyster Cult and Bee Bop Deluxe played for $4.50, and my friends and I felt we were being overcharged!

Yep. I actually went out there when it was being demolished, and was quite frankly shocked at all of the built up housing that surrounded it. That dump used to be out in the boonies, and took HOURS to get to. Crap, now the homes back up all the way to Rt. 27!
