We've seen some unprecedented visitor numbers since the VH announcement on December 26th, followed of course by the fantastic access that Diamond Dave Enterprises has given us, including WARF's representation at the Cafe Wha? show...

And there's more of that to come, more on that in about a week.... :D

But since we were getting swamped with both returning and new visitors, we honestly never gave a rat's ass about what kind of website hits and pageviews the Army was getting.... So we never set anything up....

Well, Poj and I finally got off our old asses on January 2nd and set up Google Analytics, and the results are absolutely fantastic.... Here are the highlights:

Since January 2nd:

1. Today we will pass one million pageviews !! Now, our traffic totals are not close to neither VHND nor VHLinks, but we don't give a fuck about that. We know who we are.

2. 69,124 visits

3. Visitors from 137 countries [ ChefCraig and I do a pretty damn good job with spammers, so that number should be fairly accurate ]

4. Hundreds of new Army members

I could go on and on, but I'll just wrap it up with one word from the Webbies, thanks !!

Hats off to the Roth Army! I bailed on the DiamondDavidLeeRoth board back in the early 2000's when it looked like the band was really done and done (and Ed was on the fast track to a lot of people's celebrity Dead Pools). There didn't seem to be anything to do anymore but call people names and pad your post count - so I left with a lot of good memories, but always missed the camaraderie of fellow Rothites. When things started to heat up at Howdy Doody Mountain, I couldn't resist - even though I swore I never would - and I finally made my way back to my philosophical rock and roll hero's premiere web presence...only to find most of the old gang had never left. So cool. Thanks for doing what you do, fellas - call it ass-kissing if you want, I could really care less - but it is truly an honor to be a member of the Roth Army!

Back at ya VA. It has been a long, strange, funny and sometimes disappointing journey and thats what has made it so entertaining. I remember the Slawterhouse days and dial up internet. There have been quite a few idiots that have come and gone and through it all The Army has picked up some very cool members and retained the core members that have made this place so special. I wish I could speek fluently, but I am still far from that. I have bought my favorite book in italian, so I have to make time to read swedish version and italian at the same time. I have become good friends with my italian teacher from the school where I went, and she knows I really, really wanna continue but can't so she said I can ask her any time if I have some questions.
And I have learned SO MUCH just by listening to the music. And watching films.
