You guys should just stay over at the links. It's obvious which lineup most of you prefer and that is cool but why waste everyone's time trying to convince us that VHagar was as big (they weren't) or as good and classic VH. Trust me the numbers do not back your claims and for ROTH/VH fans all we had to do was hear 5150 to know we couldn't support the current version of VH. I went over to the links a couple of times but quickly stopped because I realized it was just a bunch of kids more or less who never saw the classic lineup. Once I saw a thread that asked everyone's age and it was just that, basically young kids in their early to mid 20's whose first introduction to VH (sadly in my personal opinion) was a VHagar concert or album. It doesn't bother me that they like VHagar although it does bother me when anyone tries to say VHager sold more records (absolutely false) or that there wasn't a dropoff from 1984 to 5150 (also false, 1984 sold 5 million in its first year and a half of release whereas 5150 only sold 3 million in the same time period--now 1984 is 10 million and 5150 only 6 million in comparison). Other than that and the bullshit "rapid fire sellouts" theories that are flowing through VHagar nation I really do not have any problem with the fact that you guys think VHagar is the cat's meow. You're entitled to your own opinion. But why try and convince us that VHagar is anywhere near classic VH when you'll never be able to. We've heard all of the Hagar fronted stuff and it's simply not up to par for us. We know the Dave era has sold more and is the legacy of VH. There is a reason classic rock radio rarely plays VHagar (if you debate who gets the majority of airplay you only make yourself look silly)- because they know what we Roth/VH fans know. You guys, the Hagar fans disagree. Ok fine, then go to the links or start your own site. There are others who share your opinion. This way there is less wasted time for all of us. Makes sense if you think about it.
To All Hagar Fans
