Guitar World Van Halen 40th Anniversary Edition

I was at my local Wal-Mart last night and at the majority of the checkouts (on one side of store and all open checkouts at another) they had the Guitar World Van Halen 40th Anniversary Collectors Edition. On the front cover there is a b/w picture of Original Recipe VH. The book is about 50 pages long made of thick paper and has some great shots of the band. The magazine is $11.99.

I haven't had time to read it but glances through the pictures at checkout and unfortunately there is a Hagar picture along with a part of it devoted to the Spammy days.

Just thought to pass it along!

Sadly it's all rehashed and recycled interviews that have all been out for years. Nothing new and nothing remotely tied to the new album and tour.

Typical Guitar World cashing in... it's real shame the Van Halens have locked themselves into an anti-media bubble. There's got to be some very interesting aspects into making ADKOT that the musician based fans would enjoy...

Yep, yet another cut and paste job stapled together from previous Guitar World interviews, usually using the word Legends in the title. This is a practice that has been going on for decades now, and other than offering one or two unpublished photos not featured in the original article, recycles old stuff and provides nothing new.
