Hear me out. Ya know....all the bitching, fighting, crying, and idiotic remarks aside.....when VH does get inducted, the original 4 will take the stage and perform...it's a given, to be honest. What will come after this? Anyone's guess would be the obvious answer....but the word i have is this.....VH will finish this tour, do a cd and tour with Sammy, then the Hall of Fame (should it happen), and/or a cd tour with Dave. After that, VH will retire. Do i know it to be 100% concrete? No....but my source has never led me wrong yet. I'm not expecting y'all to believe me.....that's fine, i could give a shit less....but as i've heard it, all members of VH, past or present, are on board and aware of this 2-3 year plan. Ever wonder why Dave hasnt been overdoing it with the bashing of Sammy or the brothers as of late? Peace.

John Fogerty wouldn't play with CCR at the hall of fame. Maybe Eddie should hook up with Mr. Jackson again.

I DONT KNOW, I THOUGHT THAT WOULD BE THE ANOUNCEMENT THIS YEAR BUT LOOK WHAT HAPPENED. THEY MAY BE ON THE SAME STAGE GETTING INDUCTED IN THE HALL OF FAME BUT PERFORMING- I JUST DONT KNOW. I HOPE AND PRAY TO SEE DAVE AND THE CLASSIC LINE-UP BEFORE I DIE, BUT I'M NOT HOLDING MY BREATH. FOR NOW I'D RATHER SEE LUCKY 13 VAN HALEN TRIBUTE BAND- WWW.ERUPTIONMUSIC.COM

its funny how Dave is so quiet!

but I still dont believe.

I still think all 4 originals wont take the stage together at the HOF.

especially if sammy is included which ed will make sure of. I cant see dave taking the stage with sammy and the rest. unless dave has really mellowed or wants to take the spotlight from them.

This is definitely NOT a given.
John Fogerty accepted his award with CCR and then refused to play with the other 2 surviving members.
Instead he played a set of CCR tunes with an all-star band.

The summer tour is not over. Dave could yet join with Van Hagar . But this most recent AL and Spam interview taking jabs at Dave that way does not look good. Dave needs to quit being so hush hush and let us know what is going on. Maybe update his web site a little.

It would be cool, it also makes some sense, but it's also very unlikely. But who knows.

All I know is Dave better be singing if they get inducted since the original six albums he sang on is what will putting them in the hall of fame.

It would be cool..
But for Dave to come and sing with EVH for a few songs at the event.. wouldn't be mindblowing..
Lets hear some new tunes and a tour..

If ithe band is inducted sooner, it won't happen. Later, maybe. But look at the new "Best Of" CD -- all live Roth-era tracks feature Sammy. I don't think Eddie would have a problem side-stepping a Roth apperance at the Hall of Fame and letting Sammy handle the vox. The Dave slinging has just begun in the press, and I think the general consensus in the band is they have no use for him. Unfortunately, my guess is they'll be screwing the fans again come HOF time.

Personally don't care if VH gets inducted or not, and definitely wouldn't be interested in seeing a one-off there with Roth, as it would inevitably be underrehearsed.

Roth shouldn't even bother standing up there with Sammy. Classic Van Halen accomplished more than enough to warrant getting into the RRHOF. Even if EVH and Co never had never made another record again after Dave left, their place there would have already been secured.

Van Hagar rode the coattails of the 6-pack lineup, and all that initial success was inherited until people began pulling their ears out of their asses and the records began selling less.

EVH will be lucky if he lives long enought to be there for the induction.

Here me out guys. VH is gonna show up to the Hall of Fame with Sammy, play a few tunes with Sammy and not say a word about Dave or invite him either. Those bastards are that mean. They would make great recruits for Al Queda.

We all know Sammy would not see the light of day in the Hall Of Fame if it wouldn't be for VH. And VH will make it to the Hall of Fame thanks to the Dave years. Otherwise, they'd still be in line right behind Poison.

It could very well be later, didn't it take Black Sabbath a few years to get in, WTF? But the Lovin' Spoonful are in no problem. I'm not sure I like the idea of the Hall of Fame anyway.

That would be a virtual kick in the balls to the fans. I could see it happening though. I could also see them playing "Right Now" or some other Sam song that had nothing to do with their induction.

good guess.

Van Halen deserve to be inducted into the RNRHOF in Cleveland along with other legendary 70's rock acts like Black Sabbath, Lynyd Skynyrd, Alice Cooper & Ted Nugent because if 80's rock bands Motley Crue, Bon Jovi & Ratt get inducted or any 80's rock/pop/rap acts for that matter before VH the RNRHOF becomes more irrelevant than it already is. I think Eddie & Alex will accept the award from the RNRHODF onstage without Dave, Sammy or Michael since Van Halen is their band or more importantly EVH's band but I think Sammy will sing VH rock classics from the DLR era as well as his own during their performance if & when VH gets inducted in the near future.

If Dave aint there, then Van Halen is not inducted.

Very, very possible as we've talked about it before. How the legacy has been damaged and diluted. But, I would not go quite that far. I do not think the powers-that-be with the HOF will allow a Sam fronted version to perform, however. Ed is NOT in control of this and the Hall takes what they do and present very seriously, for whatever its worth. Not saying they would insist on Dave performing (although they would push very hard for it no doubt), but I can't see them allowing Sammy to bask in the spotlight of an award won by the original four -- and make no mistake Samites, the voting members are fully aware of just who did what in regards to VH being considered in the first place.

Diamonds are forever.

If I hear RRHOF and Sammy mentioned in the same sentence again, I think I'm going to puke.
