You are NOT entitled to success. You are entitled to the freedom to have a shot at it.

That's my original thoughts. But as I sit here I think....are we, or any human anywhere, "entitled" to anything? WTF? When you're born you aren't even entitled to air which is why the doctor, midwife, birth coach, mother has to get you crying to start breathing on your own.

So let me rephrase...you aren't entitled to anything, but by being an American living on a foundation paved by the blood of heroes, you have the "freedom" to pursue success.

Just the same as the 47% stuff. Romney was correct, there are 47% of the voters who are going to vote for Obama no matter what. Just as there is a % of Republicans that will vote for Romney no matter what. We all know all the campaigning, TV commercials, fund raiser, and enormous amounts of money are all aimed at the less than 10% that can swing either way.

Just like Limbaugs "I want him to fail". he wanted the liberal policies he viewed as socialist to fail to be implemented. But it made for good out of context soundbites. Both sides do it. It's sad because candidates can't ever really speak what they feel and their real ideas or speak off the cuff because every single work is scrutinized way too much.

I doubt if if you'll get a Democrat to admit Romney's 47% percent remark was about those that firmly had their minds made up for Obama, however. You won't get them to admit his quote was being portrayed out of context. He probably didn't use the best selection of words, but most intelligent people knew what he meant. You seem to know how to write, but do you know how to read. Everyone in this country by law is entitled to success and to put their name in the hat and try and become President if they choose. Obama is playing class warfare games again. He is trying to say that everyone not in the middle or below is the top evil people in this country. What he doesn't understand is that, those that have stuck their necks out and put their nuts on the chopping block to start and work a business into a success, are the job creators in this country. When was the last time a person living under a bridge offered anyone a job. He wants everyone sucking off the government tit, so he can have total control over everything and everyone. In the last 4 yrs, he has managed to put a 4th of this country on welfare and food stamps. Another 4 more yrs and that total will go up to over half. Once people get something for free and become dependent, it is the first step toward losing freedom. Do you really want less freedom and more intrusive government?

I firmly believe there SHOULD be a threshold of people who shouldn't pay taxes, such as a family of four only making $20K or those people in similar financial situations.
