These guys better check their facts. Mormons do not believe the United States is the New Jerusalem. They believe the New Jerusalem will be located in the United States specifically in Missouri after Jesus returns and ushers in the millennium where he personally will rule the world. Mormons do not believe the US Government is the new Jerusalem. They do believe the US Constitution was inspired of God and was required to come forth so the true gosphel of Jesus could be restored and taken to the rest of the world by missionaries. This has gone on for the last century and a half. Mormons do not believe the US Government is the New Jerusalem nor is using military force to spread the gosphel the right way to do it. These guys have no idea what they are talking about. It has about as much merit as saying Obama would start attacking infidels because he spent some time in the muslim faith.

If anything the mainstream Mormon church Romney belongs to has been systematically ditching the old radical teachings such as polygamy, blood atonement, the temple death oaths and such. The church is more like a holding company wanting to retain it's base of members by impressing that base that the church is growing. They build temples and send missionaries out and do some charity work. They have no interest in starting more wars so they can convert the rest of the world at the point of a sword or get armeggedon going. If anything, most Mormons are tired of the wars just like everyone else is.

Why doesn't the Obama Administration attack Mitt on his religion? Because it would bring a counter attack on the religions Barrack belonged to which are just as crazy. If you want to bring up religion, it's a push with both candidates.

Thanks for setting us straight on what a reasonable religion Mormonism is. Here I thought they just believed all this goofy bullshit! :)

But if you listen to that clip where Mittens himself is talking, (at about 1:40 into the clip) he believes that it's his duty to interfere in what he refers to as "the war to kill all the Jews" which will immediately precede the return of JC.

Now you combine this statement with Mittens buying completely into the Likud paranoia about Iran, and it gives him a reason to start a war there that's even crazier than NuttyYahoo's. Mittens wants this war because he believes it's fulfilling prophecy.

Then join his church. Then you can hear Bishop Romney preach his latter day prophecies every Sunday. And that's where he should be preaching them from. Not from the White House.

No, I liked him as a very articulate person with a focused personality...

But he was "focused" on defending Mormonism. Which is fine, if that's what he wants to do, but it doesn't qualify him to be President.

He said he's not running as a Mormon...

And Chimpy said he wasn't running as a "nation builder" with an "arrogant foreign policy". Look how well that worked out.

Chimpy wasn't a nation builder...

Well, he certainly destroyed THIS nation. Some parts of it worse than others, as you well know. But he called what he did in Iraq and Afghanistan "nation building". Not that I agree with his definition.
