Since this is an American forum, and you guys just had this election that was important to you. And since Dave is the main topic of the board, it leads to question:
Who do you think Dave voted for? And did he vote at all?

Dave is pro-Israel and once said,"Fuck the Palistinians." I think Dave voted for the same guy Chaim Witz voted for. If you read Dave's book he very much like Gene on those lines.

Yeah dave does talk abit about Israel in his book , he is very pro Israel

I won't expose my political convictions here but I think it sucks big time.

But in an election there are many issues. He can't just vote a certain way because of only one issue.

Yeah, same here. I can understand why Gene is on the right, he is a huge capitalist. I always thought Dave had a sort of depth.

Oh Dave might not like Netanyahu and Dave is a compassionate person and it's hard to support Netanyahu if you are. The thing is, a pro Israel person would most likely not vote for a person who said Israel should go back to it's pre 68 borders. Dave has the jewish paranoia engrained in him that the jews are still the most persecuted people on the planet and there is someone out to get you. That's well stated in his book.

I don't have any jewish roots in my family but on my mom's side they were persecuted pretty bad in the states of Missouri and Illinois. Once you have people trying to systematically kill you and the government is involved in that, the paranoia lasts generations because the stories are told in the family. So there is this attitude, family first, like minded community first, and then everyone else. Mormons, jews, and other persecuted groups have this ingrained skeptical attitude. They very well know groups of people and the government can turn on you on a whim so you are very cautious.

Dave clearly believes in a big fist to protect Israel. That's clearly stated in his book and he views anyone with a hippy dip we will all come to gether attitude as naive. There is a bold miitant side to Dave. This is a guy who would fight in the Massad. Not questions there. He did say if rock and roll didn't work out his second choice was to be a Navy Seal. Not exactly a group of people Obama is popular with at the moment.

People from a persecuted past live in two worlds. Deep down there is a circle of people that's the most important. That's who you can trust and who has your back and then everyone else. You live a public life and then a more personal life that you don't let the public into, because frankly, you don't trust them.
