After 1985, The Cramps sucked major balls.

But hey, let's get back to our resident attention seeker

Cramps are not Punk, to me.. They're Rock N Fuckin Roll. But yeah, after 1985.... Look at the Clash, the band that put iced tea in Jack Daniels bottles...

You have an opinion, that's fair... Clash's best album will always be London Calling. As for the Cramps, I think that Stay Sick is pretty amazing. Maybe that's because it was my first Cramps album...

Me too. For all of the hoopla, I thought their first couple of albums could have been rendered by any garage band (mine included), without the benefit of any knowledge of surf or blues tunes.

Then out of nowhere. along comes the back-to-back slam of London Calling and Sandinista, followed up by utterly putrid crud. (OK, "Should I Stay Or Should I Go" wasn't all that bad...in fact, at the time I was delighted at the 45 sleeve....guess ya had to be there), yet hardly what you'd call ground-breaking.

Cut The Crap, indeed. Oh, how the alleged almighty had fallen...thankfully, R.E.M., Husker Du and the Replacements would fill the void within 18 months.

The Cramps, if anything, were psychobilly and not rock 'n roll. They definitely had an unique style when Chilton was at the helm that they never captured since.

The Clash on the other hand were bloated from the start. They were just as egotistical as any arena rock act they professed to hate and Strummer despite his brilliance was just as much as an asshole.
