Notice there is no talk that they should be wearing patches of their city name or the constituents they "represent". So sick how they lie to their neighbors faces to be sent to DC and then ignore them as they get bought off.

Always irks me that people actively run & campaign for office and then celebrate their "win". Because it is winning for them. And it shouldn't be. It is being selected by your neighbors to represent their interests. it should be an honor to have your neighbors select you to do hard work.....not something considered a win. And you should be selected by your neighbors as in, they decide who is best to represent them. Not campaigning telling them why you are the best to represent them.

Politician should also be a part-time job with minimal pay (if any). You want the guy that lives & works in your community going like once a month for a few days to DC to represent their district and make votes. Knowing he is coming back on Wednesday and will be back at work at his normal job on Thursday.

Politicians just aren't invested and have no stake in what happens to their district. All they care about is as much popularity and media face time, and connections they can make for when their term is up and they can take that next step from 180k per year to 240k per year.

Sickening what this country has become politically.
