Dave and high notes

Yeah I saw him in Denver and it was pretty cool, but Dave really sounded off. And he never hit high notes, though he was pretty high pitched throughout the show, Strangely enough only on some songs though..
Anyway I was digging through some youtube videos of this show the other day and man I wish I had seen this show.
OF course he's not the young DLR anymore but he lets out a couple of classic wails in the vids that sound dead on.... Case in point:
