Great music, but played out in my area unfortunately.
I like to pay close attention to the things I'll forget later...

I've got a great video of them on a Swedish tv show. It was either their 1st or 2nd appearance as Led Zep. They had been going by The New Yardbirds. Great show. One day I'll xfer it to digital.

The greatest hard rock band of all time. I think they are better than the beatles, but they weren't as important.

Led Zep, Black Sabbath and Judas Priest.

This combination gave birth to metal

We should be eternally grateful !

I dig the Zep because they where the beatles of metal but will never forget this quote from Ed back in the day ...

Page is an excellent producer, led zep I and II are classics. As a player he's very good in the studio, but I've never seen him play well live. He's sloppy. He plays like he's got a broken hand and he's 2 years old. If you put out an album and play like a 2 year old what's the purpose?

Classic but with all the reviews of Ed's newest tour I think that statement would be a slap in the face! ...

              Still funny though ...

Broken down n' dirty dressed in rags ...

I still think the lead solo in Stairway is one of the best solos ever.
He produces some real magic from very limited scales..
It blows me away evertime I hear it, is it his phrasing ?? What
the hell is he doing, its an incredible solo based on such a basic
                pentatonic scale..

                    And excess. In all areas.

Zeppelin is fuckin' awesome. Especially live, as proved on "How The West Was Won".
Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

Jimmy may have had some rough nights in the later years of Zep(mostly due to heroin ), but he was and is a great live player IMO. Yeah he can be a bit sloppy at times, but the feel he has is amazing..........

"We're gonna groove" and the rest of that opening show is just
basically a clinic. John Bonham drove that train.

Led Zeppelin is one of the greatest rock bands of all time with few equals with timeless rock classics & classic rock albums above everything else in rock today, tomorrow & the future.

I love Zeppelin! There is some kind of weird voodoo magic in their music...it seems to almost hypnotize everyone who hears them. When I first heard them as a child, I thought, "what a retarded lead singer". Two months later I was addicted. There must be some kind of audible crack in their music that comes through the speakers into your ears. Its creepy....real creepy. They rock.

                              This is funny:

"Jimmy Paige plays like a two year old with broken fingers."
