DLR: The Beach Boys! Yeah! I tell you. anytime you say that name, anywhere on this planet, immediately you’re transported to a sunny California coastline. Oh baby! And remember those songs? We all remember all the tunes. One special one I remember will be, “In My Room.” You remember that one man?

Glen Campbell: Oh Yeah.

DLR: Boy I remember, I was at a friend’s house at a basement party and we were downstairs. I was slow dancing to it, and it was the first song that I ever rubbed up against a girl to. Boy! I gotta tell ya. Hard to forget those songs.

Remember, “Surfer Girl?” That was the first time a girl ever rubbed back. Huh!

So ladies and gentlemen, please join me, all of us here tonight and everybody in the viewing audience. In honor of California Girls everywhere! We present the award of merit to the, “Beach Boys!”

After the ceremony, Dave met with actor Patrick Swayze. They were interviewed for TV.

They both mess the quote up about money not buying love.

Q: New recent best friends. Right guys?

Oh man! And what an occasion it is. A most momentous occasion!

Q: How you feeling Patrick?

PS: I'm just lovely.

Q: We are here with the David Lee Roth fan club. Right Patrick?

PS: Yes ma'am. You know, like, I have admired David Lee Roth since I was born.

Q: You quote him in your interviews even.

PS: I just figured... Uh... I just had to have a picture of my man David Lee! I see, I see, I live my life literally by two quotes. Dylan said. What did he say? It's hard to be a bitter millionaire? And David Lee Roth said, uh... It... Like.. You know? Money isn't everything. You know? But it sure is nice to pull your yacht up next to.

Q: Did you say that David? Did you say that?

DLR: Well, you know? Somebody said to me once. You know? Dave, you can't buy love. I said well honey, we could sure park our yacht next to it and walk over to get some there.

There are also photos of Dave with Jon Bon Jovi and Big Ed Anderson is off to the side.
