View Full Version : So does anybody give a shit about the NBA finals this year?

Golden State vs Cleveland AGAIN??

Tell me this shit ain't rigged. I've paid Zero attention to the NBA in the regular season since the Sonics were stolen by those oil industry Oklahomos. But now even the championships are getting boring with the same two teams for the third straight fucking year.

Go Warriors, I guess (sick of LeBron's overrated ass already)

Until another team steps up in the East, it's going to be Cleveland in the Finals.

GS added Durant, and the Cavs added a few role players but I don't think their moves equal the Durant add. But then, the Cavs didn't win in last year's Finals until Game 3.

If the Cavs repeat, good. If not, oh well.

Indians are still playing okay, not as well as predicted but they'll be fun to watch.

Everybody has known since last July when Durant signed with GS, that it was going to be GS and Cleveland in the Finals. The regular season was a waste of time. I doubt the NBA will allow a sweep, but I hope GS sweeps Cleveland and ends this farce of a season quickly. This whole season deserves a big * next to it.

Lebron always holds back in some games...almost like the league is fixed.

He didn't seem to be trying. It wont be a sweep

LeBron has three rings. Each time his team has won a championship, they lost the first game of the series.

That might not mean anything in a couple weeks.

Aww, how cute. The poor Cleveland boy is sad over his overpaid NBA hack.

So, despite a considerable amount of assistance from the referees, Cleveland managed to lose game 3 at home on Wednesday, though at least they managed to keep it looking like a contest. Can Lebron earn his money and prevent a sweep tonight?. Or will the referees have to drop the subtle pretense and blatantly interfere this time (I do not believe the NBA or ABC wants this to end in 4 games)

Nah, Cavs are probably done tonight. LeBron doesn't have enough help. Warriors are going for another record, a clean sweep of the postseason.

Didn't watch Game 3, had to be up at 4 am yesterday. Work had a raffle for a pair of tickets to Game 3 and tonight's game, after Wednesday's loss I didn't bother buying raffle tickets for tonight's tickets. Besides, the Indians are back in town tonight and it's going to be a zoo down there. Parking $40 and up...forget it.

Going to be an interesting off-season. Rumor is that the Cavs might go after Paul George, but who would they give up? Maybe Tristan Thompson, and he can take his Kardashian with him. Ty Lue refused to make a lineup change for Game 3, will losing this series cost him his job? And Cavs GM David Griffin hasn't had his contract renewed yet and is mentioned as a candidate for other teams' open GM jobs.

The LeBron leaving rumors started again, with Jalen Rose stating that LeBron will end up in LA after next season. Another article mentioned James' home is "not far from Staples Center" and that a move would make sense. LeBron only promised to bring a championship to Cleveland, not to stay here the rest of his career. Maybe people won't be so pissed if he leaves again.

Well, after that first quarter, two things are obvious..

1) Cleveland finally showed up to play.
2) The referees don't care, and still want to steal the game for them anyway.

With or without the crooked refs, Cleveland is obviously going to win this game tonight. But can they do this 4 games in a row? Doubtful.

Now for the 2nd half, the refs really need to back the fuck off and let them play... unless somebody gets punched in the face or whatever. And that goes for the next game too... since apparently there will be at least one more after tonight.

Cavs were down 3-1 last year, but that was against GS without Durant.

At least they didn't get swept.
