It doesn't seem right. My first concert was Rush. Amazing those 3 found each other.

Certainly the best one I ever saw live!

It's no shock that CBC would report on Neil's death. But it's a damn disappointment that they would let a dumb little twit (probably a Justin Bieber fan) who clearly knew nothing of Rush's music cover the story. At least she called in an actual fan for help.....

Like so many others I'm shocked and upset by this.

My favorite drummer doesn't begin to describe his influence on my life from about 9 years old onwards...

Sad RIP Neil Peart, It took three days to report the news?

He clearly went out of his way to keep his disease out of the public realm for years and his band supported him in that while getting interrogated repeatedly so that's a positive thing we were the last to know.

Sad loss... thankful for the huge body of work Neil happily and generously shared with the fans.

There are a few Neil's in the biz I'd like to see drop the fuck dead: Young, Sadaka, Tennant, even Vince Neil but not Mr. Peart. No question I despise Rush (as I despise most of you cretins taste in music) but Mr. Peart was a slap-pappy no back crap daddy of a drummer. He was no drunken F A T slop like the mopped-face limey Bonham or a bald headed coke sniffer fuck over like Phil Rudd or a monky boy wiz gizmo like Stuart Copeland. Mr. Peart played his drums with intelligence not bombast. This is why he alone keeps late 70's classic rock as commercial as ever. Every fuck-ugly suburban raised white male with little dicks and rich parents tried to emulate Mr. Peart. A lot of money was spent on a lot drumsets for retards you thought they could muster up to Mr. Peart's highly functioning autism sticks and kicks.

Big Kick Cock

Basically, that's what Mr. Peart left us: generations (and generations to come) of failed musicians with drum kits rotting in garages and attics. He also left us some really bad poetry, a book of being a traveling moto yuppie and a legacy of anti-social behaviors towards his most devoted fans.

R.I.P. Neil. I expect even more "best of" compilations of your music at inflated prices. Just like they are doing with Prince.

In Neil's honor think I bowl-Bogart a strain of Stardust and listen to a little bit of 'By-Tor & The Snow Dog' which is really a buzzkill of a tune Fly By Night was a noodle of a record, then again Rush were a noddle of a band.

I would say pretty much "the best". I'm sure there are drummers around just as good, hell there's guys on Youtube just as good if not better. But when your career spans 40 years, millions of records sold,
sold-out stadiums and arenas, millions and millions of fans, big time respect from peers, well in my opinion, that makes him the GOAT.

Preach brother. Same here. Passed weekend was a depressing fog.

Rush is done. Peart wrote much of the lyrics too. RIP Mr. Peart
