About 15:20 in, Doc McGhee is asked about DLR opening and downplays the "cuntroversy"

It's absolutely amazing that Doc McGhee avoided prison time - inexplicable to the level of even me being pretty sure there was a conspiracy thing going on.

20 tons in the 1980s? The guy driving the truck got 3 years...

Even by average rock band manager standards that guy is insanely sleezy. :)

Also how does him or fucking Simmons repeating how good Roth was in the 80s in any way change the attack made on him now? Meaningless shit. Apologize properly.

Many more details at the Winds of Change podcast which I thoroughly recommend... the story of how the CIA possibly used McGhee

I dunno...

Does any of the back-and-forth between Roth and the KISS camp amount to much of anything, to fans of either or both bands, in 2021?

I guess to some it might, I suppose. Perhaps in the same way that whatever Hagar still has to say about Van Halen and Roth and Hagar's take on his time in Van Halen has the ability to irk...but at this point, I'd have to imagine most fans of these old rock acts are my age or older...it doesn't matter to me in the least if Roth and Gene Simmons are feuding, or if Sam Hagar still dislikes Dave, or if the members of Motley Crue are getting along...the older I get, I find the less ability I have to get worked up over this nonsense. Particularly when so much of it now is presented in this online celebrity feud clickbait bullshit style. Like, why should I give the least amount of fucks if Harry and his wife are getting along with the rest of the Royal Family? a) it's none of my concern and b) I don't care.

Gene spews tons of crap every now and then. This was no different. Seems like there was an understanding between the parties that Dave wouldn't be coming back to open. Someone asks Gene about this and he decides to create controversy by sensationalizing it by taking shots at Dave. It was stupid but not surprising coming from Geno.
