Can someone explain to me as a foreigner in a couple of sentences why she is so fucking hated by so many people?

What has she done to be so despised? It's a genuine question, from over here it doesn't seem like she has done a whole lot of stuff that looks bad in hindsight or that controversial one way or another???

Right wingers hate her because she's a woman with a lot of political power.
Left wingers don't like her all that much because she uses that power to enrich & maintain the corporatist control of the political system, rather than doing something useful with it.

I'm no fan of her husband either, who was most recently in the news for wrecking his Porsche in a drunk driving accident at the age of 82, and walking away from it.

Having said that, I wouldn't wish physical harm on either one of them, of course. And given the level of MAGAtt insanity going on in this country at the moment, I was actually shocked to find out that the security detail assigned to her home is only on duty when Nancy herself is home. She wasn't, in this case, which is why this wackjob got in the house so easily. Aside from an assault on her husband, it would have been arguably just as easy for a MAGAtt terrorist to sneak in the house and plant a bomb, that could have been set to go off when she was home. Pretty much a security failure all around, in my opinion.

This is supposedly the home the perp lives in. A Pride/weed flag? A sign that says "Berkeley stands united against hate?" Doesn't sound very MAGA to me.

"FBI visits Berkeley home tied to Pelosi beating suspect. The Victorian is dubbed a “hippie collective” by neighbors. We know that David DePape is a hemp jewelry-making nudist protester. Here’s what his house looks like."

And this, about the possibility of a break-in:

"My law firm served a lawsuit against Paul Pelosi one time in SF after attempting to serve at other residences-Napa, Georgetown. They weren't home, but staff were, and multiple law enforcement officers were on the perimeter. Break-in is odd given this level of security." said Harmeet Dillon, Republican National Committee Chairman

Which doesn't really explain how the Pelosi's garage door was vandalized a few years ago. It's always said that they live in a gated community.

The 911 call was for a wellness check, not a break-in.

FORD

Definitely not a "gated community". It's on a corner of two residential streets in San Francisco...

Not sure if that's the case with their Napa Valley home, or whatever residence Nancy has in the DC area, but the house where this incident occured is definitely not behind any "bigly beautiful wall".

Who knows what the truth is. Certain media outlets jumped the gun accusing a right wing extremist of the act. Turns out the guy is a disturbed typical San Francisco left winger. Now there is speculation he was a gay lover of Mr. Pelosi. One thing for sure, San Francisco has gone downhill hard. No shortage of crime and freaks there.

She’s the typical corrupt politician who inside trades and gets away with it. Many like her in Washington DC but Nancy is House Speaker and very visible. She’s kind of become the poster child for congressional corruption. Tearing up the State of the Union speech was viewed as a horrible act of protocol. The House of Representatives represents the people of the United States and the president gives the House Speaker a copy of his speech because the House represents the people. Nancy tore our copy of the speech up in an immature gesture that she didn’t like the president. No other house speaker has ever lost it like that. Nancy is viewed as an unhinged, corrupt drunk.

The Pelosi’s live on Nob Hill. I know the area well because I had relatives that lived in the area. There are no gated communities there. Nice older homes and buildings all on the street. I’m sure Nancy has good security around her but she wasn’t home. The home is right on the sidewalk with no perimeter fence. Anyways lot’s of bad reporting and holes in the stories being told. Lot’s of political bias. Everything from MAGA did it to Mr. Pelosi’s gay lover attacked him. Just more wierd junk to waste time speculating on.

The US Congress is a third of the government and the House Speaker represents half of that third so yeah the House Speaker is going to have good security; Especially in turbulent times like now and especially with a hated House Speaker. In fact the House Speaker is in charge of US Capitol security.

Her name has constantly been repeated on a loop by conservatives to other conservatives to the point where the name itself has become a buzzword which symbolizes everything 'real' Americans stand against. Thus, in a word, the name Pelosi stands for pro-gay/pro-abortion/pro-immigration/pro-Obama/pro-Hillary/pro-Biden/pro-Big City/pro-tax/pro-Blue State. Plus, she's a woman AND she's from San Francisco, so she's obviously Satan's Mistress.

The reality is she's a run-of-the-mill politician. A big city democrat, undoubtedly comfortable in moneyed liberal circles. She helped push the ACA/Obamacare act through Congress, so to some she was a commie socialist of the worst order.

Alleged assailant filled blog with delusional thoughts in days before Pelosi attack
By Aaron C. Davis and Dalton Bennett
October 29, 2022 at 7:45 p.m. EDT

David DePape is shown in Berkeley, Calif., in 2013. An intruder attacked and severely beat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband with a hammer in the couple's San Francisco home early Friday. Police discovered 82-year-old Paul Pelosi and the suspect, DePape, said Police Chief William Scott. (Michael Short/San Francisco Chronicle/AP)

Washington Post LINK & can listen HERE (https://www.washingtonpost.com/investigations/2022/10/29/david-depape-blog-pelosi-fairies/)

The San Francisco Bay area man arrested in the attack on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband filled a blog a week before the incident with delusional thoughts, including that an invisible fairy attacked an acquaintance and sometimes appeared to him in the form of a bird, according to online writings under his name.

David DePape, 42, also published hundreds of blog posts in recent months sharing memes in support of fringe commentators and far-right personalities. Many of the posts were filled with screeds against Jews, Black people, Democrats, the media and transgender people.

During October, DePape published over 100 posts. While each loads, a reader briefly glimpses an image of a person wearing a giant inflatable unicorn costume, superimposed against a night sky. The photos and videos that followed were often dark and disturbing.

He published a drawing of the Devil kneeling and asking a caricature of a Jewish person to teach him the arts of “lying, deception, cheating and incitement.” Several contain lifelike images of rotting human flesh and blood, including a zombified Bill Gates and Hillary Clinton. Others depict headless bodies against bleak, dystopian landscapes.

Before those writings were removed Saturday, The Washington Post reviewed them, as well as gory photos, illustrations and videos on a website that DePape registered under his name in early August and that his daughter confirmed was his. Notably, the voluminous writings do not mention Pelosi. Police say DePape broke into the home Pelosi shares with her husband early Friday, yelled “Where is Nancy?” and attacked 82-year-old Paul Pelosi with a hammer.

Pelosi remained hospitalized Saturday, recovering from surgery to repair a skull fracture and serious injuries to his right arm and hand, according to the speaker’s office. San Francisco’s police chief and district attorney provided no update, but on Friday local, state and federal authorities said they were working together to investigate DePape’s motive.

A woman who identified DePape as her “father” said Friday that she was stunned by his arrest even though he was, she said, abusive to other members of the family. “I love my father,” Inti Gonzalez wrote in a statement posted to her website and later removed. “He did genuinely try to be a good person but the monster in him was always too strong for him to be safe to be around.”

“This attack on Nancy Pelosi’s husband came as a shock to me,” wrote Gonzalez, who is 21, according to her website. “I didn’t see this coming and there was no sign of the possibility from his end.” Gonzalez wrote she followed her father’s writing online but was not aware of the website he registered in August.

Reached by The Post before she issued the statement, Gonzalez declined to comment about DePape.

DePape grew up in British Columbia, a relative told CNN. He briefly drew public attention nearly a decade ago in San Francisco when he participated in a demonstration against a city ordinance banning public nudity. The protest was led by Gonzalez’s mother, Gypsy Taub, an outspoken nudity activist.

Videos posted on YouTube show that DePape was among a group of protesters marching through San Francisco’s Castro neighborhood for the 2013 demonstration.

On his blog, DePape wrote bitterly in recent months of his relationship with Taub, who also promoted debunked conspiracy theories on her own blog, including that 9/11 was an “inside job.” He accused Taub of manipulating her children to turn them against him.

Taub is serving a sentence for felony stalking and attempted child abduction, after prosecutors said she became fixated with a 14-year-old boy and attempted to kidnap him. She could not be reached for comment. Gonzalez told The Post that she had spoken with Taub and that Taub would be making a statement upon her release. She is eligible for parole in January.

Four days before the Pelosi attack, DePape posted on his website what he presented as a 2021 email to Gonzalez. In it, he told her he struggled with the urge to end his life as his relationship with Taub and her children was falling apart. “I was extremely suicidal, Mentally I would beg you guys daily to let me kill myself,” he wrote in the email. DePape cut off contact with Taub and her children after he was he was kicked out of their home and living in a car, according to his online account. He does not say when those events occurred.

The domain frenlyfrens.com was registered Aug. 8 under DePape’s name and to an address in Richmond, Calif., where a neighbor told a Post reporter he lived. The web address uses the phonetic spelling of “friend,” which has become a slang term adopted by many in the far right — a term that is sometimes written as an acronym for Far Right Ethno-Nationalist.

Reddit banned an openly anti-semitic group by the name /r/FrenWorld in 2019, saying it contained postings that glorified or encouraged violence. One cartoon featured repeatedly by members contained pictures of a frog character that has been appropriated by the far right. “Frens, sound the alarms!” one says. “Arm yourselves! The longnose is coming, the longnose is coming.”

Two weeks after registering the site, DePape’s first post was titled “Mary Poppins.” Amid the ongoing feud between Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) and Disney over the company’s criticism of the state’s law known by critics as the “don’t say gay” bill, the violent video depicted a SWAT team firing at Poppins.

Details of DePape’s everyday life in recent months are included in the postings that followed. He played video games at a nearby library and spent hours meditating, according to the writings. In another post, he shared an image of a fantasy miniature salamander he purchased on Etsy. He wrote that he was looking to purchase a fairy house on Etsy but was frustrated that the doors were painted and so could not be used by a fairy. “They have lots of fairy houses but NONE of them are MADE for fairies,” he wrote.

In late August, DePape became engrossed in the decision by Twitter to ban Jordan Peterson for his posts about transgender people. The Canadian psychologist turned conservative podcaster had once said that being transgender was comparable to “satanic ritual abuse.”

DePape published six posts in support of Peterson and then continued with his own caustic takes on transgender people, saying they should not be a protected group. “They were not BORN a freak. They are not INHERENTLY a freak threw no fault of their own. … They are CHOOSING to be FREAKS,” he wrote in one post.

In the last week of September, as the Justice Department filed a motion seeking to compel former Trump adviser Peter Navarro to return government emails, DePape blogged his take: “No evidence of election fraud. Any journalist saying that should be dragged straight out into the street and shot.”

DePape was also active on the message board 4chan, a site notorious for extremist discussion, posting memes and debating other anonymous users about his beliefs, according to his website. In an Oct. 24 post titled “Disinfo Shill Tactics,” he complained that he was a target of law enforcement he described as ‘paid shills’ trying to manipulate the message board. “I would come in and lay out the facts and so all the paid shills would jump on me. To try and suppress it,” he wrote.

That same day, DePape shared images from a construction site where he worked months ago. One highlighted a jackhammer with the number 33 on it, an apparent reference to a conspiracy theory about Freemasons and world control. A co-worker remarked he sounded like the now deceased right-wing radio personality Rush Limbaugh after referring to feminists as “feminazis” during a discussion on feminism, according to the account.

In another post on Oct. 24, four days before the attack on Pelosi, DePape shared images of a wooden birdhouse he said he had purchased for an invisible fairy he communicated with that had begun interfering with his life. “He appears in a form that makes sense in my reality because I can’t see fairies. He’ll do things to let me know its him and he o[f]ten appears as a bird,” he wrote.

He clearly was a right wing nutjob, read some of his commentary. I don't there is a group of Berkeley police that monitors everyone's political convictions. Did you live near there or something?

I did rent a room on a ranch in the Berkeley foothills in 1983 for about 6 months that was right next door to where my band practiced. Nice place with about a dozen horses, but it was right on an earthquake fault line and had termers frequently. It was too far of a commute to Silicon Valley where I worked so I moved back to the south bay into my girlfriend at the time's place.

Being somewhat of an expert after previously selling them, I can tell you very often they fuck up badly at the monitoring center and police or the homeowner are not called in many cases. I think a celebrity complained that her ADT security detail of Renta cops never came after her perimeter was breached by a stalker. The monitoring centers will usually try to call the owner before cops to prevent false alarms becoming fines. The only reliable autocall to police is using some sort of panic button, in any case a burglar/intruder will have a minute or more before an alarm is triggered. And of course it's common for people to not arm their system, or only partially arm Door contacts but shut off the Motions. And from everything I heard to read the police were dispatched pretty rapidly. And I can tell you that vagrants like this guy are often shifty and good at getting around alarms and cameras. A lot of times they'll throw a cinderblock through a window, and if nothing is triggered or cops don't arrive in 20 mins. that's when they go in. Even the bigger companies like ADT, Vivant, Cove, etc, tend to struggle with consistency. Then there are the mom-and-pops local or regional ones that really suck because they contract a disinterred alarm monitoring site staffed by sleepy kids that DGAF..

The Capital Police apparently maintained an elaborate CCTV camera system in the area but failed to act, the entire break-in is on camera. Probably shitty South Korean ones...

PAUL PELOSI
CAPITOL POLICE DROPPED THE BALL
FAILED TO MONITOR PELOSI HOME
11/2/2022 6:40 AM PT

The U.S. Capitol Police were apparently asleep at the wheel in monitoring security cameras at Paul and Nancy Pelosi's family home in San Francisco during the savage home invasion that nearly killed her husband ... this according to a new report.

Pelosishington Post reported Tuesday D.C.-based Capitol Police officers in a command center failed to see live images of David DePape allegedly smashing his way inside the Pelosi townhouse 3,000 miles away. The command center has 1,800 cameras watching the Capitol Complex and areas beyond, including the Pelosi townhouse.

Shortly after the break-in, one of the Capitol officers noticed on the security cameras police lights flashing outside the Pelosi residence.

The officer went back and reviewed footage from minutes before, spotting DePape smashing the glass panel with the hammer before entering the Speaker’s home, according to WaPo.

The reported security lapse comes as DePape was arraigned Tuesday on charges of attempted murder and several other felonies. DePape has also been charged federally with attempted kidnapping of a government official (Nancy Pelosi).

As we reported, DePape told the FBI that he planned to shatter Nancy Pelosi's kneecaps because he saw her as a liar. He allegedly brought zip ties, tape and rope with him to apparently tie her up. The Speaker was safe in D.C. at the time of the attack.

But her husband, Paul, was asleep in bed when DePape broke in. Paul was able to make a surreptitious phone call to 911 and speak in code, alerting the operator that something was wrong.

The operator quickly dispatched police, who arrived at the Pelosi residence within minutes. In front of the officers, DePape allegedly clubbed Paul in the head with the hammer, fracturing his skull. Police tackled DePape and took him into custody. DePape is currently being held without bail.

Paul is still in the hospital, but is expected to make a full recovery.

Details emerge in Paul Pelosi attack: A break-in, conversation, 911 call, then violence
Bart Jansen, USA TODAY
Fri, November 4, 2022 at 1:27 PM
Paul Pelosi awoke twice in the early hours of Oct. 28. The first time he groggily discovered a hammer-wielding intruder in his bedroom asking for his wife, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. The second time, he regained consciousness in a pool of his own blood, having suffered a fractured skull grappling with the assailant in front of police.

State and federal prosecutors who charged the suspect – David DePape, 42, of Richmond, California – with attempting to murder Paul Pelosi said he was on a suicide mission, threatening to kneecap Nancy Pelosi and hunt down other unspecified public officials, according to court documents.

“It is certainly something that has unnerved us all,” San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins told reporters of the attack, referring to tragedies with past political leaders such as the 1978 assassinations of San Francisco Mayor George Moscone and city Supervisor Harvey Milk. “It’s something we have to take very seriously.”

Paul Pelosi released from hospital: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband left a San Francisco hospital Thursday

DePape, who is being held at the San Francisco County Jail, faces 13 years to life in prison if convicted of state charges including attempted murder, burglary and elder abuse. He has pleaded not guilty and has a hearing scheduled for Friday. Federal prosecutors charged him with assault on a relative of a federal official and attempted kidnapping of a federal official.

Paul Pelosi was released from the hospital Thursday.

Here is what we know about the attack that began just after 2 a.m., from court records and news conferences, as authorities piece together police reports, video from body-worn cameras, a recording of the 911 call and other evidence:

A break-in, a startling wake-up and then a question: ‘Where’s Nancy?’
DePape allegedly said he knew he would be caught on Ring security cameras positioned around the exterior of the Pacific Heights house. But he was surprised to find Paul Pelosi, 82, still asleep after the noise he made smashing the window of a glass door to get inside.

Pelosi, who was sleeping in a pajama top and boxer shorts, startled awake to find DePape allegedly standing over him with a hammer in his right hand and several white zip ties in his left hand.

“Are you Paul Pelosi?” DePape allegedly asked. “Where’s Nancy? Where’s Nancy?”

Pelosi responded groggily after being awakened. “She’s not here,” he said.

“Well, when is she coming back?” DePape asked.

“She’s in Washington, she’s not going to be back for a couple of days,” Pelosi said.

DePape then threatened to tie up Paul Pelosi about 10 times.

“OK, well, I’m going to tie you up,” DePape said.

Paul Pelosi stood up and tried to leave by an elevator near the bedroom, but DePape held the door and prevented his escape. DePape later told police he blocked the door because he thought it led to a safe room.

Pelosi then sat back down on the bed and asked why DePape wanted to see his wife.

“Well, she’s No. 2 in line for the presidency, right?” DePape allegedly said. “We’ve got to take them all out.”

Pelosi asked if he could call anyone for DePape, but he allegedly “ominously responded that it was the end of the road for Mr. Pelosi.”

Capitol Police chief: 'More resources' needed after attack on Paul Pelosi

'Uh, I've got a problem': Paul Pelosi calls 911 with DePape watching
Pelosi then asked to use the bathroom, which DePape allowed. Pelosi’s cellphone was charging in the bathroom, so he turned it on and called 911 at 2:23 a.m. and put the phone on its speaker function.

DePape later told police he knew the call was being recorded but felt Pelosi had pushed him into a corner by making the call. DePape watched him from about 3 feet away while still holding the hammer and zip ties. During the call, Pelosi explained to the dispatcher a man was waiting for Nancy Pelosi to come back, but that she wouldn’t be back for about a day. DePape gestured and told Pelosi to get off the phone.

To defuse the situation, Paul Pelosi told the dispatcher that he did not need police, fire, or medical assistance. But Pelosi then asked for Capitol Police because they are usually at the house protecting his wife. The San Francisco police dispatcher, Heather Grives, said he called city police and Pelosi said he understood.

“I don’t know, what do you think?” Pelosi asked DePape. Another man was heard responding: “Everything’s good.”

“Uh, he thinks everything’s good,” Pelosi told Grives. “Uh, I’ve got a problem, but he thinks everything’s good.”

The dispatcher told Pelosi to call back if he changed his mind.

“No, no, no, this gentleman just uh came into the house uh and he wants to wait for my wife to come home,” Pelosi said.

The dispatcher asked if Pelosi knew the man and he said he didn’t. The dispatcher then asked for Pelosi’s name and address, which Pelosi gave him. DePape then told him to put the phone down.

The dispatcher asked for the man’s name and he replied, “My name is David.” When the dispatcher asked who David is, Paul Pelosi said he didn’t know.

“I’m a friend of theirs,” DePape said.

But Pelosi said again he didn’t know the man.

“No, he wants me to get the hell off the phone,” Pelosi said.

The dispatcher offered to stay on the line but sent police officers to the house when the intruder forced Pelosi to hang up. The dispatcher issued an “A” priority well-being check.

What we know: What we know about attack on Paul Pelosi, federal charges against David DePape

‘I can take you out': Pelosi and DePape go downstairs, a struggle occurs, then police arrive
After the call, DePape said he was tired and needed to sleep. But he also said he had a backpack downstairs with “a whole bunch of stuff inside,” according to court records.

DePape walked behind Pelosi as they headed downstairs. Turning on the lights, Pelosi could see where DePape entered the house. DePape allegedly said he had to bash windows in the glass door several times to break through.

DePape said the police would be there any minute. Pelosi tried to calm him down by saying they wouldn’t.

“I can take you out,” DePape said.

DePape came around Pelosi with the hammer in his right hand. Pelosi, who feared DePape would strike him, grabbed the hammer’s handle.

At 2:31 a.m. – about two minutes after the 911 call ended – Police Officers Kolby Wilmes and Kyle Cagney arrived at the house. Wilmes rang the doorbell, but DePape told Pelosi not to open it.

Pelosi opened the door with his left hand. In the dimly lit foyer, Pelosi nervously but calmly greeted the officers.

“Everything’s good,” DePape replied, when the officers asked what was going on.

When an officer turned on his flashlight, police could see DePape was holding the hammer with one hand and Pelosi’s right arm with the other. Pelosi had his hand on the top of the hammer.

“Drop the hammer!” one officer said.

“Um, nope,” DePape allegedly replied, and raised the hammer. DePape allegedly then tried to pull the hammer away from Pelosi and wrenched his right arm.

At the same time, Pelosi said: “Hey, hey, hey.” But he couldn’t keep his grip on the hammer.

“What is going on here?” an officer asked.

DePape allegedly wrestled the hammer away from Pelosi, stepped back and lunged for Pelosi, striking him in the head with full force.

The blow knocked Pelosi unconscious. The two officers rushed into the house and tackled DePape and disarmed him.

Pelosi remained unresponsive for about three minutes. He woke up in a pool of his own blood.

“The suspect pulled the hammer away from Mr. Pelosi and violently assaulted him with it,” San Francisco Police Chief Bill Scott told reporters. “Our officers immediately tackled the suspect, disarmed him, took him into custody, requested emergency backup and rendered medical aid.”

Fire Department medics took Pelosi to San Francisco General Hospital, where he had surgery for a skull fracture and serious injuries to his right arm and hands.

San Francisco Police Officer Ariane Starks interviewed Pelosi in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. Pelosi said he didn’t know DePape. In another interview two days later, Paul Pelosi said the hammer didn’t belong to his family.

DePape’s lawyer, deputy public defender Adam Lipson, told reporters after a detention hearing the suspect suffered a dislocated shoulder “during his arrest."

San Francisco DA:: Dispatcher's handling of Paul Pelosi's 911 call 'may have saved his life'

DePape 'came here to have a little chat' with Nancy Pelosi
Once the scuffle ended, San Francisco Police officers asked if anyone else was in the house. DePape allegedly said he acted alone. He looked at the glass door and allegedly said that was where he broke in. The laminated glass was broken near the door handle.

Police found a cellphone, cash, “clipper” cards for San Francisco’s transit system and an unidentified card from the right pocket of DePape’s shorts. When they asked for his identification, he allegedly said it might be in his backpack on the back porch, near the broken door.

In the backpack, police found a second hammer, a laptop and more bags of zip ties. The backpack also contained a journal, roll of tape, white rope and two pairs of gloves, one rubber and one cloth. A day later, during the search of a Richmond garage where DePape was staying, FBI agents seized two hammers, a sword, motor vehicle paperwork, IRS letters and Paypal credit cards.

DePape allegedly explained to officers and medics at the scene what he tried to accomplish.

“I’m sick of the insane f------ level of lies coming out of Washington, D.C.,” DePape said. “I came here to have a little chat with his wife.”

'Heartbroken and traumatized': Nancy Pelosi shares first comments since attack on her husband Paul Pelosi

DePape allegedly admitted he intended to take Nancy Pelosi hostage and “break her kneecaps” if she “lied” to him. Then she could be “wheeled into Congress, which would show other members of Congress there were consequences to actions,” according to court records.

DePape said hurting Paul Pelosi wasn’t his goal.

“I didn’t really want to hurt him, but you know this was a suicide mission,” DePape allegedly added. “I’m not going to stand here and do nothing even if it cost me my life.”

“I told him before I attacked him, that he’s escalating things and I will go through him if I have to,” DePape allegedly said.

While chatting in the bedroom, DePape allegedly told Pelosi he couldn’t be stopped because he had other targets. DePape later allegedly told police his targets included a local professor, several prominent state and federal politicians and relatives of those officials.

“There has also been a lot of speculation regarding Mr. DePape’s vulnerability to misinformation,” said Lipson, his lawyer. “That’s certainly something we’re going to look into, that we’re going to delve into, as his defense team.”

Scott, the police chief, said the department is working with Capitol Police to make the house more secure.

“This has shaken a lot of people,” he said.

DePape allegedly explained to investigators why he didn’t leave after Paul Pelosi called 911. FBI Special Agent Stephanie Minor said DePape compared his efforts to "the American founding fathers with the British, he was fighting against tyranny without the option of surrender.”

Why wasn’t there 3M safety film on the windows? If professionally applied you don’t see it and it’s tough stuff. It makes it harder for someone to get in by breaking a window. You would think these kind of security precautions would be done on a house right on the sidewalk and the resident the House Speaker. If it was a legitimate break in the security sucked.

I owned some retail space that the insurance required safety film on the windows. We had a car come through the front of the building and the glass broke but the safety film held. It just wrapped around the front of the car. You aren’t going to break through it. It’s tough stuff. If it’s properly applied you can’t see it. The 3M stuff is really good.

Safety film makes non-safety glass safer. It’s cheaper than replacing older doors and windows and it makes breaking in harder. You can get it in clear or different shades and you can add UV protection. If your furniture is getting faded by the sun you can put that 3M film on the windows and save your furniture and woodwork.

Did you install 3M at your house or just the office?

Most people are not security experts and do not have an insurance company directing them to install specific things. Pelosi relies on Capital Police and Secret Service for those types of recommendations. But then again, if Con.
