    Writing In All Proper Case Takes Extra Time, Is Confusing To Read, And Is Completely Pointless.

    The story as I remember it was that solo was just the second take and improvised very soon after hearing the song for the flrst time on the day.

    You can hear parts of it on live bootlegs before he recorded this so like any improvisation it's joining up bits from a bag of tricks he had in his pocket but even so.

      [The solo] had always struck me that way, as a sort of distillation of Ed's bag of tricks he had already been using in Van Halen. Great solo, though.
