Saddam has had a stroke, says lawyer
Bruce Wilson
29jul04

SADDAM Hussein has suffered a stroke and could die before facing trial, a member of his legal team has claimed.

Jordanian lawyer Mohammed al-Rashdan said a brain scan had indicated the stroke.

"Our information is that he's in very poor health," he said.

This conflicts with comments this week by an Iraqi minister who visited Saddam and found him depressed but fit.

Mr Rashdan told a London newspaper he also believed an attempt could be made on Saddam's life.

"Under the Geneva Convention, we're entitled to have access to our client but all our requests have been ignored," he said.

if this is the case, could it be that someone's worried the fake Saddam wouldn't be able to keep up the act long enough to stand trial?

And where is the REAL Saddam anyway? Is he kicking it in Club Pakistan with Osama?

...it's yet to be seen if he will getthe chance to stand trial and use the tactic of taking those who enabled his war against Iran and his aquisitions of chemical weapons down with him...
namely Reagan, Cheaney, & Rumsfeld.

Maybe Satan can send us up a video of Saddam and Reagan fighting it out in Hell?

Do they really have the real Saddam Hussein?

It's very questionable. The pictures of this shaggy guy they have in custody really doesn't look like the old Saddam at all. And the way this guy was captured, in some fucking hole in the ground, without a fight?? Very uncharacteristic of one as arrogant and ruthless as Saddam, wouldn't you say?

I believe it's very possible that the real Saddam is living out his days in luxury. And not in Syria, or Iran, or any other country on the PNAC hit list either.

So you mean he could be living next door to me?

It's possible. Who the Hell would be looking for Saddam in New Zealand.

Hey what did they do with the Shire set they built for the Lord of the Rings movies? Maybe Saddam is living in a hobbit house?

Think so, do you?

OK, on one hand you have Saddam Hussein, having disposed of anything remotely resembling WMD's already, yet openly defying the BCE's calls for proof and even resisting UN inspections as long as possible, preferring the invasion of his country and overthrow of his government, to appearing weak in front of his Muslim extremist neighbors.

Does this sound like a guy who, after 9 months on the run, is going to give up without a fight??

It simply doesn't fit.

Who said he's giving up without a fight...

I think he plans to do his battle in court, for all the world to see...

Come on Ford, turn that frown upside-down! If Saddam dies, you'll get over it (although I know you were secretly hoping for a Dean/Hussein ticket in '08..)

On a side note, I actually just watched Terry McAwful call Fox News "Fair and Balanced" in an interview with OReilly. I guess Conservatism isn't as sparse as the good Michael Moore would suggest...

Strange days indeed.

Who gives a flaming fuck what Terry Mc Useless thinks?

One of Kerry's few redeeming qualities is that he promised that asshole's gone after the election

In my best Kerry voice...

I JOHN KERRY PROMISE THAT ASSHOLE WILL BE GONE AFTER I WIN THE ELECTION

AND I, JOHN "F-ING" KERRY, PROMISE TO TAKE MORE OF YOUR MONEY FOR THE "COMMON GOOD"...

Back on topic though.....

Wouldn't it be convenient for the BCE to have poor Saddam (or a reasonable facsimile) drop dead - and be all over the news channels - right about the time John Kerry is about to deliver the "speech of his life".

Would the BCE do something like that? Well, considering how they have created events - or rumors of events (shades of Matthew 24) every time they were on the verge of bad press coverage in the last three years, it's a strong possibility.......

Hey, if your grandfather had funded a genocidal dictator, and your father was the world's most famous heroin smuggler, you wouldn't have to work either
