Just picked up the new CD by George Lynch, FURIOUS GEORGE, and it FUCKING ROCKS!!!!
Covers of 60's-70's classic rock
1) Space Station #5
2) Sins a good Man's Brother
3) All along the watchtower
4)
Stormbringer
5) I want you/She's so heavy
6) Blood of the Sun
7) Bridge of Sighs
8) precious and Grace
9) I ain't superstitious
10) One way or another
11) You Shook Me
12) Dancing madly backwards
Very guitar heavy CD. George plays his ASS off on it. VERY COOL!!:killer:
Made me think, what would a DAVE/Lynch band sound like? Must know each other from playin' SoCal in the '70's......would be very much an ASS-KICKING venture.

George Lynch friggin rocks, but he already lost half of his life going through the I-hate-my-lead-singer-thing. We had enough of that with half-tongue Eddie

Your right dude, but he had to play with don dokken. DAVE is the MAN! It seems like the upgrade in singers would outway any lingering misgivings of working with a opinionated frontman. Besides, George has the talent AND the MENTAL CAPACITY to hang with DAVE, UNLIKE DAVE"S former lead guitarist!!!:bottle:

I always liked his solos, but those "Dokken" songs sucked. Too wimpy!

I agree Turboblues! Great guitar player in a SHITTY band!
And when I listened to some old Dokken recently, it sounded really thin and dated, totaly '80's production. This CD has a HUGE guitar sound. Very cool and I highly recomend it to fellow guitar players and KICK ASS music lovers alike!!!
I also think George would fit in with Dave, 'cause George always had his own SIGNATURE sound. He was the only post-Eddie player out of LA that I thought really had an original style that came through no matter how bad Don Dokken's lyrics were. Kinda like someone else we know.....Hmmmmmmm:donkey:

I think Dokken could have been the next Aerosmith or Van Halen during the 80's but the youth of the MTV generation were captivated by Motley Crue & Bon Jovi instead. George Lynch is one of the few highlights of 80's rock since he is a great rock guitarist in his own right but I'm not too familiar withhis latest band. BTW, 60's70's rock rules while 80's/90's rock is for fools.

Hey, there's a hagar tune on it!

Would most hagar fans say this album sucks because it's all covers?

Just joking around, I'd like to check it out. Never liked Dokken either.

I don't think that a George Lynch would be able to pull off the happy-go-lucky party with the top down style DLR writes.... if they did start a band it would definately have a darker/heavier edge to it like the Fair Warning album. That would kick ass!

Liner notes from George: "Space Station #5" Another Boyz (Lynch's 70's band) cover track. We were a Northern California hippy jam band and these guys were one of our inspirations at the time. I liked the fact that Kelly(Keeling) sang the bridge the way it should have been sung originally; in tune.

Seems George knows a thing or two about Spammy!!!!

George Lynch is an amazing axe slinger.

Just saw a recent photo of him the other day; looks like he stopped the 'roids and appears to be about 20 pounds lighter.

Mezro...I'll have to check out that new CD of his...

dokken did have a more darker sound. but they had there own sound that you knew as soon as you heard the lynch guitar. it would be diffrent to hear dlr and lynch together.
