Would Dave need to adapt if he joined Van Halen

You know the answer to that. Dave was the ORIGINAL singer. It was his band for the first 11 years(which Hagar himself has admitted, the only truthful thing he has said about Dave in 20 years). Trust me, those Van Hagar songs are already being forgotten as we speak.

Dave is not going to return to Van Halen.

At this point in time, and after all the water that has passed under the bridge, I'd lose respect for Dave if he did return to Van Halen.

And i'd lose even more respect for him if he even considered doing a Spammy tune. which he wouldn't, and that may even have been a reason why a Reunion hasn't surfeced to date.

Dave would be better off forgetting about Van Halen, and that's my opinion on this subject.

Dave would do Spammy tunes. Dave has no problems taking others peoples songs, and putting his own touch to them. When Spam did Van Hagar tunes, they were not remembered. If Dave did them, they would be gold.

I think the only real hope for Dave getting back into VH is if Van Halen is inducted into the Hall of Fame. Eddie's even joked about Dave and Sammy sharing a microphone during the ceremony. If/when they're inducted, I'll bet 80-90% of the crowd will be there in support of Diamond Dave.

I don't think Dave will have to change at all. Fans went nuts without him even singing a note at the MTV sham.
