    DLR Greatest Hits

With Sam's collection coming out, I saw in a thread someone guessing at what it would sell and response was a very very very generous gold status which made me think...how many units did the best of dlr sell? I cant seem to find any stats for it

I think worldwide it did 200K, 70K US. Most numbers you see are just US. Saw it posted somewhere, I think on the old Slawterhouse website, but I am going strictly off of memory, no link or backup, so I could be way off.

      DLR GREATEST HITS

Actually I'm pretty sure the U.S. sales for DLR's greatest hits album is over 100,000 units soundscan. I think it was on Metal Sludge. I could be mistaken but I'm pretty sure it is over 100,000. As for the Hagar set going gold, I DOUBT IT.

Wow it hit 200,000! Last I checked it was 170,000. But good to see his albums sales are climbing.

if it Dave's THE BEST cd had been promoted well and acknowledged by the record label, RHINO, then who knows, 500,000 units sold wouldn't be so hard to believe...

200,000 units passed is ok in my book...

I was the one who made the Gold prediction, but i think i kind of made a mistake, let me explain. i have been crusing the links and checking out the sales for BOBW, and they kept talking about how it went gold at 250,000. I had that in my mind when i said that ERC would go gold. I believe that ERC will move 250,000 copies. BOBW goes gold at 250,000 because it is a double cd. Anyways, i really need to pick up Daves greatest hits, i think it would be a good addition to my collection. Anyone have a tracklist for it, or i could just go look it up on Amazon, whatever though, i think 200,000 is pretty good for a greatest hits from dave, Props to dave

There's definitely some remastering of some of the songs on the DLR Best Of album. I dig Don't Piss Me Off as well.

Is the 200K US only, as Soundscan I believe is just US? If so, 200K US is pretty good for a Dave greatest hits.

Um... isn't gold status 500k? Platinum is 1 million, and diamond status is 10 million.

250k might be gold for a single.

I dont think dave should release a new "best of" quite yet, because their would only be two additions with two songs maybe taken off of both, "DLR Band" and "Diamond Dave".

Gold is 500K, but if you are selling a double disc then you only have to sell 250K cds because its two disc each sale counts for two, thats where ther confusion was
