The difference in recipes

Anyway, I thought of a stupid analogy but it makes sense and maybe something for discussion? So many people say "Well. 3/4 of VH is better than Dave solo." WRONG!!! I don't know if any of you cook but I have a pretty cool comparison and your own recipes would be highly welcome! I'm just talking about how such a basic ingredient left out or replaced can greatly change something.......


EXAMPLE:

Van Halen-

Ed = Coca Cola

Dave = Bourbon

Mike = Napkin

Al = Stirring straw

Result is an elixer that will get you off and make one crazy.


Van Hagar-

Ed = Coca Cola (Same ingredient)

Mike = Napkin (Same ingredient)

Al = Stirring straw (Same ingredient)

Spam = 2 scoops vanilla ice cream

Result is a similar taste but much more sweet, lacks the punch and is safe.

Total babble, I know but what do you homies think?

MIKE = ½ oz Cointreau
AL = ½ oz Sambuca

DAVE = The Flame

Sam = a layer of melted cheese

Van Hagar - Hot dogs and fries. Served w/ a 6 pack of Busch Lite beer while sitting on the curb in Newark, NJ watching 40 year old hookers work a street corner outside a homeless shelter.
