They seem to be a kinda centralized place where musicians and record industry personnel can meet up. I haven't delved too deeply, but on the surface, it seems on the up & up.

It's a decent way to go to get exposure, as long as you get work from it.
The key is to make sure you own the rights to everything you post because people try to steal that shit.

I personally would deny ownership in hopes someone would steal it and make it big, so we can come up behind them and fuck them over roayally, lol.
