I picked up on an acute sadness while watching Dave speak about China Town. There is a sadness in his expressions in some of these videos. I know he's a super intelligent person, maybe that's it. He just knows too much. I have never seen this side of him in all of my years observing him. But then again he's been gone for too long, and has always managed to keep a low profile. I know it's been said that it's amazing what a smile can hide....You can look so happy on the outside but deep down your sad. It is a battle. I prefer joy and inner peace, something that's hard to experience while living in this world, for me anyway, but I still maintain it. When Dave begins to laugh and smile the sadness genuinely seems to go away as far as the naked eye can see.
