    Check this shit out.

I borrowed a TECHNICS 8-Track recorder last week. The fucker I borrowed it from is a HARDCORE analog enthusiast, and also supplied me with BRAND NEW blank 8-Track tapes. He laughed @ my hairbrained idea 'cause he's jealous of my twenty thousand dollar tube DAC that's better than his thirty thousand dollar one. Manipulation is a great thing. The hairbrained idea got me the recorder and the tapes.

Anyway, I ran the Frampton Comes Alive remaster through the DAC directly to 8-Track. Guess what?

It fucking sounds better. Fuck the clunks.
    It's all about discipline.

if it's AC-3 audio off a regular DVD, the purists say it ain't lossless. so it may not be your final product that's flawed, but your source.

Hey Rust...that is why I mix down to Hi-Fi VHS.

The equivalent of 1" analog 2 track tape!

            Yes, they're adjustable...

            That may be Nicks trouble...

I can adjust my wav sampling frequency down to 8.000khz, and bits per sample to 8...

That would naturally sound like shit...

I needed a better program to play the DVD in the background so I could record the audio through the computer...

I also needed to adjust the WAV recording source.
