Not really....depends on your computer...... Musician's Friend and Guitar Center have some package kits that are pretty affordable.

Phew....still doable but you'll probably get drop outs when adding a ton of tracks or FX's. RAM is cheap and easy to upgrade, too!

Still well worth the investment because you'll have the recording equipment longer than the computer.
