I think they were pretty big, I recall them being "the guys" here for a while in the rock sphere. They had more than 2 hits but yeah began to fizzle a bit by the early 2000's. "Wonderwall" is probably their biggest US hit but even the ones preceding here that were missed like "Supersonic" were still popular after the album "Morning Glory" was released...
All I can recall hearing back then radio-wise was Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova, although I suppose other tunes were played...I recall reading a few articles in music mags back then relating how huge the band was in the UK, but I never got the sense back then that Oasis was THAT huge in America.
Maybe they were. I dunno. The mid-1990's were where I kinda began paying less attention to what was current in terms of pop music. I only remember Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova because those two tracks certainly did get enough airplay to reach people paying less attention to pop music.
I do remember the singer was schtupping Patsy Kensit...she was a babe back in the day.
