This would appear to be a much longer (possibly complete) version of the Hyde Park concert from July 1969. Not sure of the source. Doubt it's an official release, but apparently put up on YouTube by somebody in Japan. You should probably watch it before the ABKCO copyright troll posse demands it be purged from existence....

Here's some Keef blues that apparently came out in 2003, but I never heard until now. Believe it or not, I only heard about it because somebody posted "Barack Obama's Summer Playlist" on Reddit. Thanks for the heads up, President Barry!

The editing is different. For example, in the official release, there are a couple of closeups on lovely girls during the first verse and chorus in Honky Tonk Women, and here the focus is mainly on the stage. It seems the whole film is raher different from the cut that was released in 1983 and regurlarly re-released ever since.
I'll check if the guitar solo of I'm Free is featured in its entirety, as it was cut short to include an interview with Jagger, but then it should be now.
          Very interesting.
Down Home Girl, Loving Cup and Street Fighting Man are missing, though...

2015's Back to Basics was already disappointing, even considering Bill was 79 then.

THE ROLLING STONES To Release 'Welcome To Shepherd's Bush' Recording Of 1999 Hometown Club Show

                  October 22, 2024

"Welcome to Shepherd's Bush," proclaimed Mick Jagger. "I've been waiting to say that for a little bit. "With that opening introduction, shortly before launching into "Shattered", THE ROLLING STONES gave an inspired performance during this June 8, 1999, club show at the Shepherd's Bush Empire in London for "1,800 lucky dogs," according to Paul Sexton's liner notes that accompany the release of "Welcome To Shepherd's Bush", the brand-new video release from the world's greatest rock 'n' roll band.

Marking a return to what the liner notes term "the nostalgic intensity of a compact STONES show with the exciting echoes of Eel Pie Island and the Crawdaddy Club," two iconic London venues where the band made its mark in the halcyon '60s of the British Invasion, this "secret gig" took place just several days before two sold-out shows at the 70,000-seat Wembley Stadium. The shows followed the release of the band's 1998 live album, "No Security", a series of North American gigs between January and April that year before returning to the U.K.
The star-studded audience at the gig marking THE ROLLING STONES' homecoming included everyone from Anita Pallenberg to AEROSMITH, Jerry Hall to Jon Bon Jovi, along with Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, Bob Geldof, Pete Townshend and Lenny Kravitz.

On December 6, Mercury Studios and THE ROLLING STONES proudly present "Welcome To Shepherd's Bush" on various formats, including for the first time ever for a STONES video, 4K UHD with a Dolby Atmos audio option. Other formats include Blu-ray + two-CD set; a two-CD limited edition package of 15,000 worldwide; a two LP black vinyl package, and a direct-to-consumer two-LP set in 180-gram white vinyl.

The 90-minute set featured several rarely played deep cuts, including the only known performance to date of "Moon Is Up", from "Voodoo Lounge", along with "Melody", the "Black And Blue" selection performed only once before, more than two decades previously, at the famous 1977 El Mocambo show in Toronto which was officially released in 2022. The live performance of "Voodoo Lounge"'s "Brand New Car" was one of only seven times the band included it in their set, the last back in 2002. Another highlight featured opening act Sheryl Crow joining the group on-stage for a raucous "Honky Tonk Women".

For those who just saw THE ROLLING STONES live on their recently completed, critically acclaimed "Hackney Diamonds" stadium tour, "Welcome To Shepherd's Bush" offers an intimate glimpse of the group a quarter century ago, returning to their native turf with a vengeance.

"It's good to be home, I'm telling you now," said Keith before leaning into his solo numbers "You Got The Silver" and "Before They Make Me Run". "It's only rock 'n' roll, y'know what I mean?" A statement equally true then and now.

                  2CD track listing:

                  Disc 1:
                  01. Shattered

Very interesting stuff. A few songs they hadn't played for a long time, or even had never done live.

Yesterday I came up against an upcoming release of an 8-CD box set containing live radio broadcasts.
Couldn't find any info, the thing is for sale from Amazon, e-bay and other mercantile sites, but none give
                      any song list.
It seems the same kind of box set is announced for artists like Jimi Hendrix.
                      Release date (pre-sale) : October 25.

Haven't heard that one yet, but the "radio broadcast" bootleg sets are a mixed bag. Some have good sound quality, others are awful. I seem to recall an Ac/Dc boot from those guys where the mix was totally off. Bon's vocals were barely audible and the drums were way too low. Hard to believe it would have been played on the radio like that.

Somehow Amazon gets away with selling them, but I would never pay for one of those, given the questionable quality. If you can find it on a torrent site, take a chance on it for free. Then if it sounds like shit, you only wasted time downloading it, and not money, at least.

I hear you. There's something of a cash grab in those releases. But everybody's free to buy or not.
As far as I'm concerned, I bought a few reissues, such as the 2-CD Sticky Fingers, "Live at Leeds or the "Ladies and Gentlemen, the Rolling Stones",
or the 2005 double live album, just to name a couple of them, and I'm glad I did.
This 1999 gig is interesting for fans because it includes a few deep cuts and was recorded in front of a relatively small crowd.

I don't think you do because if you did you wouldn't be buying this shit. The Stones died in 1993 when Wyman left the band knowing there was nowhere left for them to go. In the past 30 years Jagger and junkie fuck Keith have turned their band into a marketing gimmick pumping and dumping old recordings and live shows as passable albums. Jagger has tried everything under the sun to expose his shitty band to a younger generation who really don't want to hear repetitive songs about misogyny and drug addiction. I've been saying this for fucking ever there comes a time when you have to hang it up; time has passed them by and there is no joy in seeing or hearing Mick and junkie fuck Keith rail on down a dead end track.

Fuck, even Coldplay is hanging it up as did KISS and Elton John. Ron Wood appears to have both feet in a coffin waiting for someone to close the lid and Jagger is a old whore prancing the stage for Yankee dollars oblivious that is he nothing more than a embarrassment. They had their day. Remember their last album? No one does. That's how relevant the Stones are.
